OK, so what I am hearing here is it's bad to offer all forum fuctions to the home pages of senior members.
That's good feedback.
I am moving towards a home page where that senior coul post articles, photos, see who visited them, etc. But no discussions. |

i must object to one thing on the forum,

That's a big no no. Chat room for any forum is way to discourage members from forum participation. Once the chat is over, the information,the discussion value is lost. |

I think it is a good idea and this will become a unique forum to discuss Sri Lankan news with such features. When you get a chance just have a look on www.digg.com and see whether we can learn something from them. They have similar features with voting facility.
Since this facility is available only for senior members, I believe we would list down the conditions or rules that make one senior. Personally, I believe we should provide this facility to everyone and if a member has not log in to LN for some time ( a set period), you could inactivate his account after few notifications just to save the spaces and better performance. |

how about LN providing a P2P service where the members be able to share information (whatever that may be) with each other on this forum?? |

Excellent, fully agreed. The members may have their off topic chit-chatting in the threads like Royal-Thomian one. But to go well below par that is not constructive. We all Sinhalese/Tamils/Burghers and Muslims are here to disseminate our cultural scio-political views not for pure fun and flirting only.
In a way you can enhance the same forum with more options than creating separate route for the Seniors in that way we all can participate without any discrimination. After all most of the juniors will be seniors oneday depending on their constructive contributions to the forum.
