This talk of using tactical nukes in Sri Lanka is interesting .. very interesting.
Dr Swamy is a smart man.. he is probably worried, VP (or Pottu Amman) will send an LTTE suicide bomber to silence him, so he is coming out with this story - to dissuade any such thing happening. Or, it is possible he is being used to 'air' an idea which is under consideration by the wily bureaucrats in the South Block. If so .. it is not just to 'take out' VP, it is also to give notice of Big Brother's 'powers of persuasion' to Sri Lanka. (There is a bully-ing mentality behind this threat).
SL Govt should take serious notice of Dr Swamy's statement .. We should tell the Indian Govt plainly and simply - Any action to apprehend, capture or otherwise 'deal with' VP is a matter for the SL Govt, primarily - however, a joint exercise to apprehend this elusive person can be considered.
(If India wants to test its tactical nukes, let them do it in Indian soil. There are terrorist gangs, and gang-leaders hiding-out in the Jammu-Kashmir area .. who are really more of a threat to the Indian Govt, and its people. This area would be more suited than Kilinochchi/Sri Lanka, as a test-site for Indian tactical nukes).
