Mission has to be defined.

My belief is that the LTTE spokes-man is talking 'tongue-in-cheek' .. meaning 'they were able to make it, back to base' (at least some of them) - yes, 'mission' accomplished ..

I think so too. There is no clear objective of what mission he is talking about. Whether attacking Navy? Inflicting heavy damages on SLN? Whether bought back the ships safe? who knows!

I have heard this sentence of mission completed since battle started in Muttur for Marvil aru anicut!

	There is no clear objective of what mission Hasini you are NOT reading properly. The Mission was to reach the bottom of the sea. That has been completed VERY successfully!! 	mission accomplished it was a mission of a 'defensive nature' but with some 'offensive qualities'. its finished now nonetheless.

	Why the rest of the missions left out? Pettah bomb .. Anuradhapura massacre .. Dalada maligawa bomb .. Dollar farm / Kent farm massacre.. .. Aranthalawa massacre... .. Rajiv gandhi assasination.. .. Premadasa assasination.. .. List goes on.
