I believe the conditions must be set so that the tamils can embrace that. But what we see now here is some tamils are being murdered by the the LTTE to close any anti-LTTE voices. Which is bit like killing UNPers to subjugate anti-GOSL voice. We cannot do that sis. We must respect all the humans irrespective of their personal faiths.
That is why CFA won't work! We already have a provincial system in the country. make them strong. Drag LTTE to nation building. Only thing CFA does is drag it for years make both parties frustrated and put them back in to the same position they were prior.
Somebody got to change the path. You cannot tell me after 30 years there is no still negotiated settlement for this. Open every channel of possibility.
Emerge LTTE cadres to the SL military. Trust them more with those areas with a well watch out military system. Remove sinhala soldiers to a certain percentage and put LTTE cadres, give the area under top military brass. maybe under the person who is next to SLA commander to be the Chief of operations. So is the SL Navy.
Negotiate a settlement that will address Tamil, Muslim and Sinhala aspirations. You don't have to follow the same course work as in Galle when it comes to Jaffna or to Trincomalee. Give them the freedom to teach what they want to teach the majority with Minority respected values. Put schools that carry either the state medium or the central medium. India does this. In many Indian states there are schools that gives the state curriculum and the central curriculum. So if a sinhala family living in jaffna can go to the central board while a tamil family can with state board. I mean there are loads of options - sure it will take time, but with time will come progress, development, respect and trust. |

In general everyone is peace loving people except for opportunistic politicians and about a small percentage of facist, racist people. |

| Hashini,our problem is people who has the power to implement the measures you mentioned does not want to do so, bcs if they o it then they loose their authority to claim power. So it is beggars wound for them and they keep showing that o achieve their intentions. |

There are many more Seniors who write jokes, lyrics and music and you must be familiar with them who have more than 3000 posts. They are jokers bro, I think I will chose another forum to write lyrics and jokes and copy/pasting bro.
well i have no complains on jokes and lyrics or any other thing shared in here.. maybe people are quite tired with the old folk in here who think too conservative and too serious on this racial discussions!
Internet is and should be free for all to participate with their own style and taste unless the site has set some strict rules, but to have that kind of control i think is very old fashion and will not work so well with the current free information era!
If so I am afraid this place will be only for senior citizens like our former president JRJayawardana and co then... :( |

Sis, I completely agree with you. In fact there is another Senior Member called Patrick suggesting the same lines with PCs. he was telling exactly the same solution.
In fact this is what JRJ wanted and created. We cannot dwell in the CFA and then violate and then to talks on and off like game.
We must either abolish the CFA and get back to reality and then put a solution to embrace all the races alike.

ltte represents people like you, who are brainwashed in west having nothing much to do. also NGO based management consultants who can have a free trip to sri lanka with a big pay check to do some charity work for the children while promoting child soldiering and abduction.
The Wanni Tigers and their sympathizers have been assiduously fostering this fiction for over two decades to justify LTTE s claim of being the Tamils? sole representatives, while physically eliminating rival politicians and militant groups and never facing elections.
