she is not alone. my fathers second cousin ( a bit elder to my father) also didnt marry and his reasons were the girl he loved (dont exactly know whteher this was One sided) got married and he remained a bachelor.

I am truly sorry. I believe even true love, if something did not work out for the best spirit that you owe to yourself you need to move on with life. I feel sorry for my grandmothers sister - she raised me. I love her honestly more than my grandmother. But there is a sense of not belonging anywhere in her.
