Mig 29,
Thanks to all the Americans who elected Dubya. JFK wouldn't have had such a tough policy against terrorism. We all know this is today's utmost problem and it has to be dealt with exactly the way Dubya does. |

Prettykfir,
megalomaniac-gone-sadistic killer Hitler, who held sway over the whole populace, Germans.
Now in SL too we have a megalomaniac-gone-sadistic killer, Velupillai Prabhakaran
yes, yes, yes, Hitler, the leader of an advanced industrialized country with a huge conventional armed forces at his disposal is comparable to Prabhakaran, a third world guerilla leader, who has to smuggle and steal weapons to fight with..absolutely brilliant...scaling such intellectual heights be careful not to bump your head :)
the Allied Forces did not have to do the above (killing civilians) to get rid of Hitler....only an indisputably retarded mind would think the above was necessary to get rid of a tyrant!
bravo, you are great, yes, the firebombing of Dresden and other German cities by allied forces directly targeted German civilians is not important - its just the fact that you are brilliant and no one can say different that is important. Who cares about His-Story when we can have Your-Story. Namo Namo Matha.
your intellect is not on par with even the dumbest humans I have met! LOL
excellent, well done old boy, I take it you have been getting the patriotic message across to space aliens and other species as well in addition to humans. yes we need to mobilize every able bodied martian to kill the Tigers!! |

The President has a clear idea of the game-plan.
He has basically two options open to him - and he has the necessary power and the capacity to pursue either one.
1) Apply necessary military force, as to 'crush' the LTTE, and give a 'take it or leave it' kind of solution to the Tamil people - meaning very little devolution of power (litle or no prior consultation), and a major deployment of military power to keep any Tamil dissent in check.
2) Convince the LTTE and its leader-ship that they cannot hope to win against the SL Govt forces - when they are properly equipped and led. (We have seen little of the true SL Govt force strength, and what they can accomplish - when properly led and equipped). Get the LTTE to 'come to table', at the earliest possible date - and work-out a satisfying power devolution arrangement for the NE.
(The short, sharp battles fought recently have shown the so-called Pabhakaran 'mystique' of leader-ship to be hollow. He can make no claims to being a great military leader any-more - when numbers cease to matter, and leader-ship and elan wins the day. Early military gains of the LTTE were due to lack of prepared-ness, coupled with poor leader-ship in the top echelons of SLA. The new order of battle, where the three Services, Army, Navy, and Air Force are well integrated - especially with the ground-attack capability of the SLAF fully exploited - gives litle hope for the LTTE to make a 'come-back'. They are going 'down-hill', and even with present levels of mobilisation of GOSL forces, LTTE can have no hope of winning any more set-piece battles. They can at best fight-on as a guerilla force).
The second choice is the right one - if the President has in mind rapid development of our Island nation. At this point it is useful to bear in mind just two (02) resource basins off our west-coast, hold-out vast scope for Oil and Gas. The Cauvery Basin, extending from Indian territory down to Mannar, has been shown to be rich in oil resources (ONGC, and other Indian companies have 'struck it rich' in this area in recent times). Another larger 'resource area', the Mannar Basin extends from Mannar to Bentota - and may hold yet greater promise. This is only part of the picture - on our East coast - the Bay of Bengal region, is thought by knowledge-able persons like Mani Shanker Aiyer (Minister for Petroleum Developement, India) as rivalling the North Sea for the extent of its petroleum (gas) resources. We should expect to find Gas in this area, all along the off-shore region, from North to South - to Hambantota and beyond.

(Continued from previous posting ..)
With such vast potential for development, there is no reason for us to waste our time, fighting each other .. what is necessary is to come to arrangements of power devolution, amicably - and get down to working together to harness these natural resources, we are plenti-fully blessed with, for our common good.
I believe these facts are known to the President, and he has decided after careful consideration to go for Choice 2.
It is as he has said - the right Time for the LTTE and the Tamil people of Sri Lanka to trust him (and the GOSL, led by him), to deliver on the 'Grand Promise' this land holds for all of us. Edited By - SenaM - 21 Sep 2006 14:49:51 GMT |

I would also like to thank Bush for creating a civil war in Iraq that is daily costing dozens of lives and incredible misery for the people there
I would also like to thank Bush and the US govt. for supporting the State of Israel that was created upon the dispossession of the Palestinian people living there and who to this day is waging wars of expansion in the region
I would also like to thank Bush's dad and his boss Reagan for arming and training terrorists in NWFP Pakistan to wage war against secular minded people and enable his son to wage war on those terrorists today
I would also like to thank Bush for helping his poor friends in corporations like Halliburton and BEchtel get multi-billion dollar contracts to build up what the products of his friends in Raytheon, GE, Lockeheed Martin destroy.
I would like to thank Bush for promoting world peace and security by waging multiple wars and creating a new nuclear arms race.
God Bless Bush. |

American foreign policy with regards to Iraq was unfortunate, wrong and illegal .. however with respect to Iran and Afghanistan, there is and was a credible threat .. the jurys still out on North Korea.
Do you suck on the fumes of your Mig29C for fun?
Wasn't this same spurious logic used to build up the fervour to attack Iraq? I would bet your house that you supported the invasion of Iraq.
Dude, really, give me a break.
Its not that humans in general are sadists. We are capable of all things - good and evil. It is a particular system and its agents that places the pursuit of profit and power above all things that brings sadism to the fore. Don't blame humanity for the problems created by less than 1% of human beings. Edited By - vimukthi - 21 Sep 2006 14:44:29 GMT |

Jury has come back and you guys are not gonna do anything with NK. yeah yeah you guys are working all angles!! Afgan well US has conveniently given command to NATO and now canadians are coming back in body bags. there is talk of a spring election and if that happens then there will be a good chance the troops will be back home.
Well Iran, hope they build the reactor that they have been wanting to. ofcourse the US and Isreal can put out statements that they are montns away from a bomb using their Excellent intel source the same damn sources that first said Iraq has WMD and then tried its level best to tie 9/11 to Iraq.
did you happen to listen to Chevez yesterday
the devil was here yesterday and is still smells of Sulphur! simply awesome. i saw some portion of his interview ith Wolf on CNN (there will be more today) and he was all over the damn place. the only thing that saves hinm is that Wolf doesnt go for a the kill. Put him in front of hardtalk (BBC program) or something similar and we will have TV ratings records broken ! |
