An interesting article for the Sri Lankans..
Morale Takes a Hit
September 21, 2006: The LTTE has a major problem with morale and new attitudes among the Tamils in Sri Lanka. There is much less support for suicide attacks, especially if they result in civilian casualties. So the LTTE is using their suicide squad mostly for assassination attacks. But the Tamils are tired of all the violence in general, and not very enthusiastic about resuming the civil war. At the moment, the government is aggressively patrolling, and using bombers and artillery to attack LTTE positions.

Im sorry Mr.chandana24 but with what authority do you claim that:
''They should but US is one of the worst examples ever?.they re the worst?.racists ever I hav seen?every one knws that?''
Being an American im a little disappointed by your statement.. do you know any American civilians?? Have you been to the States?? .. suffice to say the US governments foreign policy does not reflect the thinking of a wide majority of civil US citizens .. We're not all like our President ..
In the same way I don't judge the Sinhalese based on the pontifications of the JHU or the JVP.. Edited By - Mig-29C - 21 Sep 2006 13:39:46 GMT |

Dear Mr. chandana24
Im sure you meant no harm .. I have to agree with you, the present administration is stepping on a lot of toes .. American foreign policy with regards to Iraq was unfortunate, wrong and illegal .. however with respect to Iran and Afghanistan, there is and was a credible threat .. the jurys still out on North Korea. |

Mig,
Being an American im a little disappointed by your statement.. do you know any American civilians?? Have you been to the States?? .. suffice to say the US governments foreign policy does not reflect the thinking of a wide majority of civil US citizens .. We're not all like our President ..
so now you are an American now????
I wander why not the state department employ you as their southeast-asian consultant, after all you got more knowledge than us from the region??
In the same way I don't judge the Sinhalese based on the pontifications of the JHU or the JVP..
so you compare your president to JVP and JHU??
quite interesting...
I believe you to be an American but do you believe it too??
:O) we need jokers like you in this forum else it would be boring LOL :O) |

Chandana:
if US starts to attack iran or south korea i get a feling there could be world war....
I don't think US will attack Iran, but USA has not put that option out. I am skeptical about Iran's nuclear program. Iran are major supporters of Hezbollah. Iran has many connections with well known terror organizations. In the long run USA's fight against terror is not bad to many countries that are afflicted with terror. USA does not want any terrorist group getting hold of a dirty bomb. I think there is nothing wrong with looking at the national security. I don't condone to Bush administration policies but his administration does not reflect the whole of USA. Anyway history tells that if the muscle is there - they use it. What about India? I mean why worry about USA so many miles away. Recently in 2001 India and Pakistan depolyed their nuclear weapons to the borders? You didn't think then it would not erupted to total disaster for the region? It is clearly pressure from USA that backed both out. So, most countries are on their national agenda. |

Dear Mr.Lokuttara
Your new to this forum .. so I shall remind you on what I said before to other members .. i am from the US, I was born there and is a US citzen, my parents were from a Jewish cum Norwegian background, they were US citizens too ..
And yes .. I believe my President is an extremist, and is currently advised by very powerful and influential people with misguided intentions .. he however does not represent the best of the American People .. in the same vein I do not believe the leadership of the JHU or the JVP represents the vast majority of the Sinhalese collective .. likewise the leadership of the LTTE does not represent the honest essence of the thamil people in your country either.
With regards to the joker tag .. I can but smile :o) and just say:
'' Fortunatley for me Mr. Mr.Lokuttara all my ''lies'' have come true .. the dent the SLAF has made and will continue to make on the LTTE military machine is a testament of my ''lies'' .. '' :o)
Take care |

if US starts to attack iran or south korea
Chandana bro - I would be very worried if the US started attacking South Korea and not the North.... ;-)
Mig 29 - As loath as I am to support Bush, I think to be fair by the man, when he came into power his foreign policy was very insular and the focus of his presidency was geared towards domestic issues (for which he came in for a lot of criticism from the rest of the world, who talked about 'Americas responsibilities as the sole remaining super power'. 9-11 changed all of that obviously.
I feel for the chap and his administration - it's been very much a case of 'damned if you do, damned if you don't'.
So let's give Dubya a break eh! ;-) Edited By - JaceDMace - 21 Sep 2006 14:08:41 GMT |
