Good Morning to the Sri Lankans..
I have a question for the forum.. wasn't it revealed a couple of weeks ago by individuals in this forum that the Naval wing of the thamil tigers had unrestricted access to the seas off Northern Sri Lanka; the Sri Lankan Navy was terrified to transport its personnel and material across this stretch of sea and was requesting clearances from the thamil tigers to even transport humanitarian aid.. to top this the thamil tigers had categorically refused the Sri Lankan Navy any access to the seas of Northern Sri Lanka to transport any material and goods!

I respect you right to have your opnion.
The SLA did not acquir any 'killer' wepons during the CFA. Kfirs and other tools that desicively defeated LTTE in the recent battles were in possession of SLDF since before the the truce.
The factors behind the therecent transfaormattion of SLDF reslts are Genuine and desicive political leadership of MR/JVP, and the strategic planning by the battle hardened commanders who were specially hand picked by the political leadership. Loss of karuna was a massive loss for the military strategy of LTTE and that may be an offshoot of the CFA. Karunas defect overnight reversed the the effects of the anhillation of the SLDF intelligence by the LTTE blatently violating the CFA.
Banning of the LTTE as a terrorist group began well before the truce and was a result of general anger of the west agasinst terrorism.
It was the LTTE which started presnt atrocites by daily rounds of claimore bombs and the suicide bombs targetting the SLA chiefs.
As far as I believe (you may disagree) it is only the CFA that prevents SLDF inflicting more damage to the LTTE caders and weponary.
That is why the LTTE who were avoidng talks citing every lame excuse possible, are now begging for talks.
I believe that Ranil is the gratest traitor of modern Sri Lankan history (chandrika close behind). Any geuine Sri Lankan leader would have annhilarated the LTTE during the post 9/11. while the interantional opnion was distracted and world as a whole was against terrorism. |

why cant you simply cancel a document which has no constitutional bindings and so detrimental to your sovereignty??
CFA will be cancelled and the Norway will be expelled. But it will take time as the plan has to be executed in a way not to antogonise International Comminity, esp India.
MR is waiting for LTTE to full fill their part of the plan. |

MR is waiting for the ltte to fulfill the part of the plan
ltte will not bite the bate, it is always the other way around. the war has been declared by the gosl without canceling the CFA and ltte is the victim of govt sponsored terrorism in ltte controlled areas.
will you tell us how long your MR want to wait? till his term ends? |

when MR's term ends in anothe 11 and half years LTTE Will be history.
Anyway after that it will be president/prime minister Weerawansa's term. |
