Dougie went to US and met other leaders including PM of India.

TNA went to Indian but could not meet either PM or Tamilnadu CM.

Why Indian leaders treat them differently?

Makaso don't be so sure of that yet:

PM to meet Tamil MPs as part of wider consultations
Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

New Delhi - Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will meet in two or three days Sri Lankan Tamil MPs sympathetic to the Tamil Tigers, who arrived here Tuesday, as part of wider efforts aimed at resolving the ethnic conflict.

Chandana, I'm keeping well too thanks =)

Ok to answer you

Didn?t DD go through an election in the north tats how he got in tats wat knw..
If im wrong correct me plz?

Yes, he won one seat, the TNA won 22, so who are representing the Tamils?

One thing im aware tat this time wen people in yalpanum were starving he took action to send food and other need ful tats a fact?.

Yes I think I read that too, but there are still hundreds of thousands starving, one act, which may have been genuine or just for show, is not helping these people, as a minister if he cares for the common Tamil person he should be urging the government and MR to do more to help these people and not block food to them.

No one can do anything until the war is over?
I will tell you an incident my uncle went down there to do such an investigation?
And then wat happened?he was abducted by the LTTE totured and murdered..
So ill hav to say?for get that until the war is done with..
Even then im not angry wit my tamil bro?s I knw they re not the ones who re responsible but ill never forget tat?.

I am sorry to hear about your uncle, though why do you say it was the LTTE? Why would they want to stop investigations into disapperances commited by the army?

The point is that these things are happening in government controlled areas, so you cannot say wait till the war is over, there is no war where these things happen, Jaffna town and the area are fully under SLA controll.

The reality is that the LTTE kills civilians everyday! (they killed four tamils they branded as traitors just the other day!) They have been doing this for the past two decades with the indirect connivance of their allies, the western countries, who wants to see third world countries like sri-lanka go down.

Over the years, the LTTE has walked out of ALL peace talks! They have refused to accept devolution or a federal system, not us the sinhalese, not the SLFP/UNP but the LTTE!

They pick on the SLA, SLN etc. today they killed four soldiers! They keep trying to commit ethnic cleansing of sinhalese and muslims. Their list of crimes are endless. They have created a culture of violence and counter-violence on top of this.

This situation is definitely not conducive to peace. The LTTE are surely a headache for the tamil people since it is they who have to put up with the LTTE violence and the resultant counter-violence against the LTTE. On top of that the LTTE has made doubly sure that the NE remains undeveloped and backward. They don't want the people in the NE to prosper or have a peaceful life.

So you tell me if these people are liberators or not! Enough of the LTTE! They must become a largely political force and their buddies, the western countries must guarantee that the LTTE become a largely political force since they let them raise funds in their respective countries and give them free publicity in the western media.

ya TNA won fair and sqaure. bullsh1t

Of course as long as they are Tamils who don't support their own annihilation at the hands of the government then it must be by crooked means, LOL so they were able to strong arm 22 voting districts eh? Guess the LTTE have much more manpower than earlier thought.

So what about the TULF in 77? were the hundred odd LTTE also responsible for that landslide for independence? LOL

fail more.

Oh speaking of who was intimidating who hows this for our prestigious 'Tamil' rep:

On December 5, 2001 elections to Sri Lanka?s 12th Parliament concluded - marred by unprecedented violence that tragically claimed the lives of at least 50. The single worst incident was on the day of the election itself, when ten Muslim youth accompanying ballot boxes to the counting station were pursued and then gunned down by hirelings of a senior Cabinet Minister.

The election campaign itself took the form of a mini civil war with the two major coalitions, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party - led Peoples Alliance (PA) and the United National Party - led United National Front, responsible between them for well over 2,500 acts of violence in under a month and a half.

In the northern Jaffna District, the PA-backed Eelam Peoples Democratic Party (EPDP) launched a deadly attack on the Tamil National Alliance that groups four anti-PA Tamil parties, killing two people and seriously wounding several others.

Over 100,000 Tamils living in the eastern Batticaloa and the northern Vanni districts controlled by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) were blatantly prevented by the Government from crossing into Government held areas and casting their vote.

The presumption was they would have supported the pro-LTTE Tamil National Alliance (TNA) and improved its electoral share. The TNA was cobbled together on the eve of the elections and is based on two parliamentary parties (Tamil United Liberation Front and All-Ceylon Tamil Congress) and two former armed organisations (Tamil Eelam Liberation Organisation and Eelam Peoples Revolutionary Liberation Front - Suresh faction).
