Not only Karuna but every single party political or otherwise in sri-lanka should be party to peacetalks. The Sri-Lankan Government, LTTE, Karuna, TULF, EPRLF, PLOTE, EPDP, SLMC, other muslim parties, all sinhalese political parties, UNP, community organisations in the north east representing the tamils, muslims and sinhalese and all other community organisations also in the south should be a party to these peace talks. In fact, everyone in sri-lanka should be party to these peace talks.

Of course, the main aim of the peace talks should be about finding a political solution regarding power sharing but also it should be a process of reconciliation especially between the sinhalese and tamils where both parties accept that they have both been victims of war and violence and disagreements between the two which turned into violence and reach out and reconcile with each other.

Tigeress19,
Yes you had answered my Q.Sorry for the ignorance. But the answer is wrong.
Of course SA was colonized by whites thats the root of the problem. But they never left and are present to this day.
But the problem is solved.
Do you think that we can do so too?

Tigress19,
I am assuming you live abroad. It is then not upto you to decide how the people whether tamil, sinhalese or muslim decide to share political power and live in sri-lanka. It should be entirely upto the people actually living in sri-lanka to decide how they are going to share political power and live. So let the people who actually live in sri-lanka whether tamil, sinhalese or muslim decide how they are going to live and the best the rest of us who live abroad can do is help that process of reconciliation. Failure to do that would be at worst criminal and at best downright selfish.

Tigress,

A good Tamil being the leader of Sri Lanka is not that far fetched. You seem to have a racist mindset which excludes that possibility. After all we had a few Kandyan Kings (this was a 100% Buddhist/Sinhala Kingdom) who hailed from India. They did convert to Buddhism whcih kind of tells me Kadir could have been an ideal candidate for such a position.
