Hi Zbee
No No. You should get the double headed snake going here and there and just get on with the military option. CFA and Norwegians are have become just a smoke screen to satisfy people like Akashi.
Isn't it amazing how FORCE brings peace? Why didn't these guys talk peace in Oslo? |

Sure Swathi we go ahead.
'LTTE terrorists have made combat-training compulsory for school-children in the un-cleared areas, in the face of cadre desertion following their humiliating defeats against the Security Forces in Sampur, Muhamalai, Nagarkovil, Kilali, Kayts, Muttur and Mavil Aru,'
LTTE terrorists are known to recruit children as young as ten years of age to wage war against the government to carve out a separate State better known as a 'Tamil Eelam' for the ethnic Tamil minority. Children are forcibly abducted by LTTE cadres from their homes or in many instances on their way to school. Military sources confirm that these children are trained to use weapons and explosives apart from suicide missions and intelligence gathering.
'Top LTTE leaders and elite fighters cowardly remain in underground bunkers and plush compounds in the Wanni while these inexperienced child cadres, barely able to carry an AK 47 are sent to the frontline to face the brunt of the sophisticated fire-power of the Security Forces.
Foolish LTTE leaders can keep on dreaming about Eelam ha ..ha..ha. |

Why cant the Govt tear it and go for a full scale war and liberate the balance areas
Because of the following
1. international opinion as the SLG can not be seen as being the aggressor. That is why the SLA is supposed to be carrying out 'defensive' operations.
2. The SLA learnt the hard way - liberating large areas and spreading their forces thin is not the way to go (as was seen with the last LTTE blitzkreig in eelam war 3, where all the areas captured over the preceding years, were lost in months, if not weeks. This time they have learnt their lesson and are concntrating on causing maximum damage to personnel and equipment of the LTTE, while keeping their own losses down. The tactic now is to weaken them as much as possible, demoralise them and slowly bleed them to death.
Note you say you have pushed LTTE defenses to 800 mtrs away...but at what cost?
Thought we would let Muhumalai go! :-) Yep, cost of 33 soldiers or more.
How many lives lost whether its soldiers or LTTE? If you want to make it to Killinochchi which is about 20km or so, at what cost?
More soldiers were lost in the first few months of this year during the CFA, by the claymores and would have kept happening if the Govt. hadn't said enough was enough and retaliated. You don't see claymores going of in Jaffan these days do you killing dozens of soldiers in one go.
Agreed on the waste of lives - and the cost will be great. But better to finish this once and for all. Time and time again the LTTE has shown themselves to be insincere. The govt. upto now were not the first to break any ceasefire. No more... enough is enough
then we can talk peace with the tamil people and work out a solution which is favourable to all Sri Lankans. |

Except for few exceptional cases from both sides, most want peace. Every life is a huge loss, it would not even put a numarical value to it - that is why a long term solution must be obtained. But, capturing area is vulnerable to both sides I guess in order to hold the stronger position, after all they are still in the war. |

Now you want to talk about peace ...ok... can you bring your fat a..s VP to the table ???
Unconditional peace talk ?? yes .... you can't make any conditions ... government will give you conditions weather you like or not ... that's the only option you got ,,, can't you see ...
if you want to talk about peace please ..please send somebody who can attend ... because last time you know what happen ..
any way PEACE TALK .. It's good thing better than counting bodes every day for both sides...
but most important thing you have keep in your mind this time is ' your bed time stories are not gonna happen this time ...
you start this name call LTTE & now we have to call you LITTLE

Sorry love, but my solution is Peace talks under a set of pre-conditions, or war, war, war
sorry to hear it but go ahead with your agenda.
The government is the people. We put them there. And that seems to be the current agenda. I am a moderate person. Ask me to chose between a tamil person or a sinhalese - I couldn't. But even of us who are moderate in their beliefs (the majority I believe) have had enough of the LTTE. They have been in their last chance saloon for a very long time. It has to come to a stop now.
Will see in couple of months or couple of years and see where we are.
This won't be over in days, weeks or months and maybe years. But it will one way or the other. |
