His courage is becaz he is in the payroll of the GOSL and the tamil community has rejected him.
Oh, are you now the sole representative for the tamil community now??
And getting a bit of money gives a person courage does it?
Tell me if he was in the TNA will he issue statements like this?

whether you like it or not he is and all tamil people,i again say like it or not,have to listen to him.
For he is our Sun God, and can therefore never be wrong.... So we shall follow him blindly and never question his infinite wisdom for the next 30 years too....

Whether we like it or not tamil peoples future is going to be decided by LTTE. Thats the fact and thats why GOSL has talks with them and not with any other party.
Personally I am no supporter of theirs nor approve all what they have done /doing.
But if you sit on the side of the tamils you will know that we have no other alternative and this has been the case since 1983. |

Agreed the tamil peoples destiny will be decided by the LTTE, or more accurately by VP - one man who is perfect and infallible?
Never makes a mistake? Willing to listen to others? Only known violence most of his life? Spent most of his life holed up in a bunker, with very little contact with the outside world.
Never travelled widely, and seen how things are in the rest of the world? Is this the person your are entrusting the destiny of a whole race of people too?
Such a man - I would not even let drive my car, let alone deciding the future of me and my people....

Ahem... slight change of tune. No offense, but it sounds like you are trying have your cake and also eat it. As much as I disagree with other members in the fourm who support the LTTE, I respect them for at least they express their views and defend them without resorting to this excuse and have the courage of their convictions.
Sounds like you don't want blood on your hands sister and tell the world my hands are clean...

I will happily sit on the side of the tamils and shout till I am blue in the face that their grievances should be addressed.
There is very much an alternative. You just refuse to see it and support a strategy which has made things worse for the tamils if nothing else and will lead to further destruction.
And please don't come back with a rejoinder saying 'yep, but things aren't good for the sinhalese either is it'.. because that doesn't help anyone...

That is the problem with the sri lankan tamil race. Knowing very well that they are being lead to destruction and extiction, knowing very well they wil only end with missary, majority of Sri Lankan Tamils do not have the courage to protect themselves form the LTTE. |

Have they invested in out dated arms at exorbitant prices?
Probably yes... going by their current performance....
Also bala's liquor bill & overseas upkeep of leaders children to name a few miscellanous items. |

The Sinhala politicos of SL has been the misery of all Tamils for the past 60+ years.. so if you really want to end the Tamils misery we need Hiroshima or Nagasaki kind of action on the Oppressors in the south and a single bullet would not do.. and then we could all start over from the beginning! |
