A'Sangaree doesn't have the support of the Tamil people, neither do Devananda and his cronies....The TNA are the voice of the Tamil people in the SL parliament.
There are the guys like Kadir, Devananda, etc who are appeasing the Sinhala public for their own monetary benefit, rather like the Iraqi National Congress in the US in the leadup to the Iraqi war, they said Saddam had links with Bin Laden and Saddam had WMD...just to appease Bush and get into leadership.
If the GOSLow doesn't want to talk to the Tigers then they should be listening to TNA MP's. |

So, say most people do....otherwise they won't survive this long eh?????
Listen to Anandasangaree my friend.
Ananda Sangaree.....how many Tamil votes he would muster if it comes to an election....might be a good leader but not YET.
The bottom line is people still starve in Jaffna....and they are already getting punished for a crime they never commited.....and they are under GOSL areas.....its government's duty to feed its citizens :(

How abt the supporters of JVP and JHU?? Are they not terrorists???
As repugnant as I find the JVP and JHU, you can not class the LTTE and the JHU in the same grouping.
The JHU and JVP are extremists. The LTTE are terrorists.
Although they are all equally a hindrance to peace, the JHU/JVP act within the law and within a democratic, parlimentary system. They were elected to office. They do not intimidate or kill. They do not set off bombs against civillians. They do not repress other political thought or dissent. They have not taken up arms against an elected government (although the JVP once did, they have laid down their weapons and taken a different course). They have not inducted children into an armed conflict. They are not banned in any country. They have not murdered the people they claim to represent. And the list goes on...
I will however re-emphasise I find them just as distasteful as the LTTE. There is still a very clear distinction between the JVP/JHU and the LTTE. This should be recognised, and the fact they voice their extremist opinions verbally is something they deserve some credit for and it is also their right.

I dont feel anybody takes A'sangaree seriously.
He comes out with statements as and when he wants just to fill his stomach.

He comes out with statements as and when he wants just to fill his stomach.
Take him seriously or don't take him seriously - that is an individuals right - but there is no question about the man's courage, where every other dissenting voice from the the tamil community is being wiped out.
He has my respect for that, if nothing else. |

the bottom line is becaz of JVP/JHU there is an agenda for war and becaz war no peace.
This will make LTTE stronger for their cause.
The first thing GOSL is to do is to put a solution in paper.how can tamil people have faith in the GOSL without any solution put forward.
Without talking about problems build a solution to the problem. |

er...... what other tamil leaders please? It's either Douglas, Karuna, Thondaman or VP??? Who would you like us to listen to please? You're running a bit thin on the leader i'm afraid....
