My Dear Priya,

Do you think he is doing the right thing.....freezing Jaffna by blocking food???

A scent of a rose petal disseminating its fragrance to outskirts Priya gives a breath of fresh air to arid heatwave.

Having economic embargoes are not an easy option. I personally believe that stressing stringent policies on deprived people is not something a democratic government should facilitate. Yet, I am not in a position to comment the NE admin policies subsequent to the fall of many previously LTTE held areas.

I am inclined to assume that GOSL may be adopting an evacuating principle on tamil folks to launch a heavy onslaught. This again is my postulation. Again, I may be wrong.

Arms is not the way to win your demands that would perish the intention.

Look who's talking now!!
what happened to all the peaceful Tamil voices for the past 60 years in SL?
tell me JRJ what did you do to destroy the SWRD & Chelvanayagun pact? and all the other similar pacts?

BTW, where are your goons like Cyril Mathew, Gamini disanayake who were involved in setting fire to Jaffna library? Lalith Athulathmudali the learned idiot who carpet bombed the innocent Tamils in Jaffna?

Siva,

Your first paragraph was well put ! But any such economic development for the NE will never materialize, at least not in our life time.
Politicians have their hands tied. Do you honestly think that the Buddhist clergy will stand by while the above plans are implemented.

For any country to get its quota of development one has to be moderate. It doesn't mean that you nullify the country's majority religion and in that case Buddhism.

The NE tamil issue of dividing into 2 states scenario has to come to an end. Because you have to believe that division among 16% of the community to the 1/3rd of the country and 66% coastal region is not going to stay hunky-dory for the tamils. These would always come up with backlashes and we don't want that. Let us assume on the condtition of Prabha eelam is granted subsequent to ethnic clashes would plummet the country into deeper civil crisis. Prabha won't come to that equation, that is why we cannot see Prabha's request for an eelam is justified. Wellawatte and other tamil populated areas in the west of the country thus have to be under close scrutiny. Imagine the Colombo Sinhalese trying to chase out Wellawatte tamils to NE? That would create much more hue and cry than the eelam it self.

The only way to move forward is get the priorities listed. This can be achieved via leaving Prabha aside. As long as Prabha comes to the equation there is always the question of when do we see the light at the end of the tunnel. Therefore I believe its totally up to tamil folks to realise that phenomenon of leaving Prabha to carry on your duties. Once you get Prabha in your way it only drags your development project further on.

I would say kind of now or never situation.

Tamilcanuck , sounds like tamilcancook...lol.

The road map for peace...

LTTE and velu should die a natural death...

The EU is more determined to do something this time, effectively over ruling the Norwegian stand on the whole issue.. EU is not essentially following the Norwegians approach to resolve this issue..
They seems to understand that LTTE has to be millitarily defeated for any form of peace(i mean any form of peace) in Sri Lanka..

If we can get the right intel then I think we can roll the SLA juggernaut to illiminate velu and his hench men...It looks to me , someone is busy preparing the decapitation...
IC should help GOSL achive that goal..The GOSL will bring peace to this land...

Imagination;

Once we capture Vanni, we should not extradite VP, PA

First they should be tried in SLA courts before extradite to India, USA, Somalia, Etc.,

All T-fighters should be court marshaled and punished for grouping against the sinhala kingdom,

We should make Sinhala & Buddhism a compulsory subject in all schools,

All govt. lands in NE should be divided to the whole nation as per the population ratio,

Non sinhala speaking citizens, citizenship should be stripped and send them back to their mother (tong) land

All the citizens make be serve in the Army for 2 years

Siva,

Everyone is hell bent on destroying VP, no one stops to think that if the livelihood of the average Tamil person improves, then things may change for the better.
I have no faith in the system, all have vested interests, typical of a third world country where the rule of law is only on paper and nothing else !

I've told this before many a time to my colleagues before I came to this forum and said few times here.

VP is not a freedom fighter whose ambition to revoke freedom to tamils, but a selfish dictator using the tamils as a shield for his own benefits. We don't have a Tamil-Sinhalese problem in the country but a terror-people problem.

In order to curb the terrorism let alone SL every country vie with continuous problems. From America to the various smaller independent nations the story goes on.

The question of development can only take place if the country has less economic stumbles and that is things like freedom from terrorism.
We cannot say killing innocent tamils are getting traitors annhilated like the LTTE use to claim. Killing any person is not acceptable, that is not correct.

If the tamils really look forward to peace they must stop their continuous financing of the ltte and that must be imperative. Freezing of funds of the TRO is therefore justified and I believe there should be more measure be taken.

Nobody can talk about develoment if there are no respect for kids of their own race (snatching kids from their parents and giving miliatry training and then getting killed subsequent to that have the courage to cry foul).

Peace is an honourable term that should not mingle with terrorists who call them selves freedom fighters etc.
