Court suspends TRO funds for six months

The Colombo High Court yesterday suspended the accounts operated by the Tamil Rehabilitating Organisation (TRO) for six months.
The Attorney General made application on behalf of the Financial Investigating Unit of the Central Bank to facilitate their investigation.
The Attorney General sought the order in terms of Section 15 of the Financial Transactions Reporting Act and the Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Financing Act No. 25 of 2005 which was enacted to give effect to the United Nation`s Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Financing adopted to which Sri Lanka was a signatory.
In terms of the petition, TRO personnel in many foreign countries had been allegedly involved in terrorist financing.
Theses funds had been channelled to the TRO office in Sri Lanka through the Sri Lankan Banking System purported to be used for humanitarian projects.

Freezing of TRO funds. it is nothing but stop help reaching tamils. $750,000 which would help many thousands displaced people.
(one way mahinda looking to pocket this money)
Froze all bank account of tamils that are not active for 10 years. it is anothr way to pocket tamils money. nearly 1 million tamils are dispalced some livng in india and others in foreign country . now their monies are robbed.
hundres of temples acount , and othe football club accounts which are not active. all that money is to be robbed by sinhalese.
there is hardly any sinhalese become rich by hardworking. now some become rich by selling their lands others all rich by steeling , one reason many youth join in army because they steel from tamils homes.
people say steeling and robbing is in their sinhala blood.
why cant these people work hard and live a decent life.
its not only they dont work and they dont let others work too.
fishing ban, land grab in the name of HSZ.
when tsunami happend we tamils from all around the world knowing sinhalese dont send anything to tamils therefore tamils send items through tamil charities ,they diverted most of that to south.
this people are pathetic ,sick sinhala community. |
