You are wrong in that you said the machines will be available in 2008. But that newspaper article says the Chi- Pak joint project start in 2008. Then how are they going to be available in same 2008?
Sri Lanka Air Force also should think of joining in this project, shouldnt they? |

That is correct .. like I said the export variant will be available in 2008 :o)
If the SLAF decides the JF-17 meets its requirements .. it can get these aircraft towards the end of 2008 or early/mid 2009 .. however the most likely possibility will be middle/late 2009 |

Dear Mr.Lankatileke
Serial production of the aircraft begins in 2008 .. not the project itself .. there are 4 pro types currently in the flight test programme, 3 are flying 1 is a static structural test aircraft.
The JF-17 is a far more capable machine compared to the Kfir .. in terms of looks .. beauty is in the eye of the beholder .. it looks good to me :o) |

I think our GOVT. should move the airbase in Katunayake to an another location without using the civil transportation facility,
It is noticable the activity of the airforce and bringing a bad image to the country, |

Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. But it'd be most appropriate if you avoid discussing finer details that would give monkeys the que to choose the right armaments to attack our fighter jets. |
