The british muslem community is another minority that faces the same kind of a situation.
One thing the british authories stress is that if the muslem community cooperates harrassments to innocent people can be minimised.
You guys may remember few months ago when the capital was percieved a safer place due to the ceasefire tamil community lived in a much more of a free life.
Again if the tamils in Colombo is ready to cooperate with the authories, moreselective approach to investigation can be pursued.
Rather than just blaming the other side time has come for the colombo tamils to do a soul search and make the city a afer place for every one |

| At first when I heard that Karuna split from the LTTE, I thought he must have a real good reason, after all hes an excellent military man and regional commander, but its confusing. He claims that eastern tamils weren't being represented properly, but no reports suggest this, and now hes in GOSL territory, and attacking LTTE with SLAs help, plus hes kiddnaping tamil children. Well, he and his party may think they have support, but from what I'm hearing from norhtern and eastern tamils is that, he is a traitor and that hes a dead man. Anyway, its a real mytery, what are his objectives?...guess we'll find out in the future. |
