Tigress, that was the question I asked your grandad, why do you ask it from me? Don't copy questions or answers sweetheart. You really need to go to school and learn those good qualities.

Helaya,

Why is that MR, JVP and JHU wanted INdia to get involved in mediation? Have you forgotten those MR's and M Samaraweera's frequent trips to India? Is it because India could be hoodwinked into attacking LTTE as they did in 1987/88? India has learnt its bitter lesson from Premadasa who kicked IPKF out once most of able LTTEers were killed.

Jillball,

Vini, She is a little girl, we must help her, some pervs here try taking undue advantage of vulnerable kids like her, but I am trying to help her get some education. That's what I value. My problem is, I have help her grandad as well.

Education for tigress? Definitely yes... but again, having read her posts for months...I believe you'll have to roll up your sleeves! Good Luck.

HELPING HAMBANTHOTA AFFAIR:

When the permanent judge was away, an order was obtained by the police to probe into the alleged Helping Hambanthota affairs and it was granted by the senior lawyer who was acting for the judge. In consequent to a directive issued by the Supreme Court, the invesigation was suspended.

The CID had later filed an affidavit in the Supreme Court amswering the averments, in respect of this case in which the DIG had pleaded that some circular instructions issued by the presidential secretary were violated.

Under the financial regulations, the Secretary to the Treasuary has been empowered by the executive branch of the government to issue circular instructions, set rules and regulations, procedeures and guidelines to maintain a sound accounting system. They are meant only for the government servants and in this particular instance, these instructions have been issued by the presidential secretary.

Circular instructions are violated from time to time by public servants intentionally or unintentionally. However, it is not a criminal offnce, but an administrative matter that will be looked into by the Auditor General. It is ridiculous to probe into a complaint of violation of circular instructions by the CID, if that is the only offence.

The Prime Minsiter of Sri Lanka has been an elected representative of the people. He is answerable to the people through the parliament and the cabinet. He cannot be charged in a caourt of law, just because he has not followed the guidelines issued by the presidential secretary. The president can call for explanation from the prime minister, if she wishes to do so, and the matter ends there. This is a mud-slining campaign initiated by the UNP, which has failed to put forward a creative ideas into this presidential campaign.
