How come Prabarkaran's children are studying in prestigious British Universities and poor tamil children are fighting and dying for Prabarkaran. Isn't the great liberator suppose to set a example to other tamil parents and send his children to the battle front first.
Velu's kids, his ex-wife and the latest 16-year old wife are going to be the BLOOD MONEY that guarantees security of the Sri Lankan armed forces at the next CFA,,, if any.
Nothing less... nothing more... enough children of Motherlanka have not died in vain... Velu must be serious in any future CFA...again... if any...
(I personally do not believe in talking 'sense' to mad dogs... even after appeasing them... )

Vini - Let me address each of your points
Tell it to the yellow peacemakers... who only ensured the killings of more and more Sri Lankans of all communities during CFA.
No it wasn't the yellow peacemakers who ensured the killing of the innocent civilians - It was the government at the time, which represented the wishes of the vast majority of the Sri Lankan population, which was elected on the basis of peace talks, rightly or wrongly, and then it was the LTTE who performed the killings. Know your enemy first.
I tickle myself each time you folks tell the whole world to appease these LTTE terrorist (mad) dogs...
Or are you saying that successive GOSL did not talk ENOUGH PEACE WITH THEM?
I can't speak for the other 'folks', but speaking for myself, I don't believe in appeasement. The day the first intelligence officer was killed, or the policeman who was killed in his sleeping quarter (sorry can't remember his name), the government should have retaliated. By appeasing them the LTTE went on to kill many good people, who might still be alive today, if we had struck hard after the first violation. THe LTTE started to believe they could get away scott free and things escalated.
And no, I don't believe in peace talks with the LTTE anymore. It is a waste of time while the exisiting leadership (i.e. prabakaran, balasingham, Tamil Chelvam) are around. I fully support the present action.
We must deal with it head on... than wasting another 25 years putting another 65000 lives (or more) into the salaughter-house of the LTTE.
Bitter truth.
You and me are not meeting anything head on. It is the SLA forces.
My point to you is you should distinguish, between tamil civillians and the LTTE. THe tamil civillians are entitled to support and express thier views as they see fit. It is their fundamental right. Just because their views do not tally with ours, it gives you no right to threaten or intimidate anyone.
MAybe just look at yourself first and ask the question why they are supporting the LTTE in the first place eh? May be that would be a more constructive use of your time. |
