The problem with our forum members you are self denial about whats going on... all you guys do is keep baming LTTE for all the problems...
Truce monitors were appointed by the GOSL and the LTTE, now they have confirmed their opinion about the cold blooded murder of 17 aid workers in Muthur. What do you guys have to say about it? Yes Truce monitors are tiger supporters too. So why the hell your spineless GOSL did appoint them as independent mmonitors??? Where is your credibility in these uterings? How would the outside independent countries view this, it reflects the reality and the accusations of the Tamils of the murders of civilians by the SLA forces and the paramilitaries working with them.
Shamefull GOSL and its supporters Sinhalese Tamils and the muslims.... murderers of innocnt aid workers. |

Hi everybody,
Military killed aid staff?
It's a tragedy if they did. But it's a fact that the SLMM is bias and before getting to conclusions, we should wait for the Aussie report. |

SLA killed the 17 aid workers - independent monitors confirmed it.
SLAF killed the 51 children in Sencholai - confirmed by UNICEF.
Tamil Nadu state Gvt condemned the GOSL for the killing of the 51 children, although the GOSL has denied it probably explained to the Delhi Gvt.
These are independent bodies so you guys in self denial cannot cheat for too long. |

Dada555,
Sure the GOSL has to be condemned if they are responsible. But with both sides accusing each other and the Tamilnet using false Red cross statesments for propaganda purposes, we really don't know whom to believe. |

| If the military was responsible, it should be condemned and those responsible punished. I am happy to wait for a proper report from the investigators before jumping in to any conclusions. |

| Dada : You know whatever the rights and wrongs of the situations, I don't really think the media on either side is responsible as they invariably tend to be somewhere between partisan and 'gung ho'. They seem to stoke up the hatred which turns a bad situation into a catastrophe. |

Jana,
The detailed report
Sri Lanka troops responsible for killing 17 aid workers: monitors 1 hour, 53 minutes ago
COLOMBO (AFP) - Nordic truce monitors in Sri Lanka said that government forces were responsible for the killing earlier this month of 17 local employees of the French charity Action Against Hunger.

The Swedish-led monitors of a 2002 ceasefire also said in a statement that Sri Lankan troops blocked their access to the northeast town of Muttur in a bid to conceal the mass killing.
'The killing of the 17 civilian aid workers in Muttur on the 4th of August 2006 is ruled as a gross violation of the ceasefire agreement by the Security Forces of Sri Lanka,' the monitors said on Wednesday.
The statement said chief monitor Ulf Henricsson had confidential discussions with 'highly reliable sources' about those responsible for the killings.
'The views have not proved contradictory and the security forces of Sri Lanka are widely and consistently deemed to be responsible for the incident. |
