UNP politico held over assassination bid

Police investigating the recent attempt to assassinate Mahaweli Minister Maithripala Sirisena Saturday arrested former Chairman of Dimbulagala Pradeshiya Sabha Sanath Kulawardena.
Police thwarted an LTTE attempt to target Sirisena`s vehicle on July 24th. Police established the UNP politician`s link with the assassination bid after the arrest of two LTTE cadres tasked with the hit. The CID said that one of the assassins who took cyanide immediately after the arrest had given a telephone call to the politician who is a member of the Welikanda Pradeshiya Sabha.

Stopterro , we tamils will be 1000 times better off rule by LTTE than racist Sinhala politicians.
its not LTTE that killed over 100,000 tamils
its not LTTE that distroyed homes and busineses of tamils.
Its not LTTE that raped so many women and childrens.
It is not LTTE blocking tamil fisherman from fishing for two decades
Its not LTTE that illegally occuping all tamils homes and land in the name of HSZ.
list can go on and on......
that is why millions of tamils continue to support LTTE.
you may think , the US arrest of some accuiring air defence capability will disapoint tamils.
yes it will desapoint tamils but same time tamils will be more aware that some of the money they had given is sturct and they need to give much more now.
who can blame them???
when those 90+ school childrens killed by air attack noone came to defend us. and they all believed sinhala government lies.
now its in our shoulder to defend ourselves.
if that case go through US count there is considerable backing tamils can give. if those were real LTTE purchasing mens.
now tamils are discoving more and more democratic ways,may be through the next generations. in west now young childrens who never born in srilanka or left the country at small age are now started to realise why their parents left the country and what did go on.
yes Tamils will continue to support LTTE as long as sinhala government is terrorising tamils. |
