Anarkalli Aakarssha, the well known film personality and socialite yesterday dismissed claims that she was intimacyually abused by actor Ranjan Ramanayake.
She denied that Ramanayake did not intimacyually abuse her during the filming of `One Shot,` as reported in a newspaper.
According to Bureau for the Prevention of Abuse of Women and Children, Aakarssha who recently turned 19, had been intimacyually abused by Ramanayake when she was a minor, a charge vehemently denied by the star.
`I never made a complaint,` she said, adding, `If I was intimacyually abused, harassed or whatever, I would have complained.`
The bureau recently told Colombo Chief Magistrate Kusala Sarojini Weerawardena that it launched the probe on a written complaint made by senior lecturer Kushantha Wickramasinghe of the Managerial Development Centre.
The actress who backed Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse`s presidential election campaign was taken on Foreign Minister Mangala Samaraweera`s personal staff.
Police is seeking Attorney General`s advice to institute action against Ramanayake who directed the movie and Swarnavahini Chief Ms Soma Edirisinghe, the producer.
A police spokesman said that they would continue with the investigation. In fact we recorded her statement on Saturday, he said, adding that the statements of Ramanayake and Ms Edirisinghe would be recorded shortly, he said.
The official said that they could investigate on a complaint received by any party. The bottom line is that even if the teen star would clear the director and the producer the police could go ahead with the investigation, he said, adding that the case was very similar to the probe on Asoka Handagama`s Letter of Fire or Aksharaya which depicts an incestuous relationship.

Hi Folks:
We have been living in a mythical world of self proclaim highly evolved society in Sri Lanka. As a result, we easily try to decline the notion of existing pedophiles. We are trying to hide 'child abuses' in the name of culture. People in the East, even in Sri Lanka, may argue that none of uncles and/or fathers don't intimacyually assault their nieces, nephews, sons, and daughters.
We are great liars than westerners, since they don't hide the existing problems of child abuse. |

i don't like her teeth or i don't know her smile is little irritating. whenever i show her in tv, i feel she is over acting. otherwise she is fine. |
