These innocent tamil girls lives would have been saved if Your So called patriotic Leader(Dumb fk Prabakaran) did not get these girls or boys underage involved in the War. Tamils future is been decided by uneducated murderers like Prabakaran and its people. But they keep their families in other countries and thier children are sent to the best collges and universities. Mistakes have occurred in the past and that is why there are commitments and compromises to be made. The past was past and you cannot dwell in the past if you want to move ahead with optimism.
Only problem is that these 'mistakes' are not in the past for Tamils in the NE, while the south enjoyed the CFA with record economic growth the NE stayed the same, with hundreds of thousands still displaced from their homes and land. They could not even get equal treatment for tsunami aid because of the racists in Sinhala politics. So are you telling me all this will suddenly change if the LTTE just put down their arms? I don't think so.
The GoSL will just go back to their old ways of talking and talking and taking more rights away from the Tamils, only like before they will not have any voice to bargain with.
No The GoSL needs to normalize the lives of the Tamils in the NE first before anyone puts down their arms, until they can show this is so and show a true commitment to meeting Tamil rights, then you are asking a man faced with an armed enemy to put his gun down, telling him to trust the enemy won't shoot once he does so. |

In my view, if that is the case VP can be the CM in NE province upon an election which is held in fairness to all of that region, but that reality seems more than a shadow of a dream at the moment. If that is the case he'll get the power democratically not have to hide in the bunker any more. The $64M question is does he really want to come to the political stream?
BTW VP has always stated he has no interest in being the political head of Eelam, that will be decided by the Eelam people when they have their own state or nation. |
