Yes, LTTE had planned an air attack and prepared even the press release for the Tamilnet. Then, a TNA MP has boasted about the impending attack. That was it.

U make me laugh!! When LTTE does something it is like when you give from your right hand the left hand will not know it!!
Don't sound like the Local Punnakku media man..I do have respect for you lolz.!!

Yes they were getting somewhere with their policies and ideas under Ranil, but Ranil lacked Charisma to carry things through. Then Chandrica/ Kadir team didnt have any clue how to do it but spoiled the direction completely. Otherwise we may have got somewhere.

I just heard from a friend, Mandaitheevu is under LTTE control now and there is heavy fighting in Kytes. Any one who know the geography of this area can expand on the strategic advantage for LTTE now.

Dada,

You didn't come back on the Buddhist principle and practice etc, if did come back sorry I didn't notice it.

Hi, no I didn't, but I will since you pinpointed that matter too. Buddha mentioned similar social visions in Singalovada sutta in the ancient India.

In Singalovada Sutta, we are told, his social, economic and spiritual relationships such as family (parents, children, wife) teachers, friends, employees, servants and holy men. This shows the importance given by the Buddha to all these areas. It is not just his family, but the other five areas, all given the same importance by the Buddha.

As a part of that six avenues he quotes the Government and the citizens have equal duties that they should obey in order to have a successful and resourceful developing country. This is what lacking in our country to a certain degree. The government and citizens have different agendas on certain occasions hence the underpinned strategies do not work to the maximum. This has been the case for the last half a century in out country, when the issues are risen they were not well channeled or disseminated. But the important matter here is to rectify the past mistakes and go forward with goals and ambitions.

Now for the economic impact you mentioned in contrary to Ranil's UNP. Well, it is understood that a middle path reasonably welfare friendly government would not get the backing of the business community. SLFP has never been given an open door by the business community at all. They cannot beat UNP in Colombo business areas. This clearly sums up the story on your deduction. During the last Presidential election you witnessed that Ranil was well above Mahinda in hardcore Colombo areas, but the suburban areas chose Mahinda thus defeated the former by a considerable margin. This consequence is nothing new. Its everywhere in the world. Where the money circulates the rich and business friendly party wins.

By the way guys Pulithevan of LTTE has denied that they accepted or requested for fresh dialoge, this is more believable news in my opinion. The Observer news does not fit the LTTE style or practice.

I also agree with Berty that whatever LTTE does is highly organised and really secretive, TNA MPs are given news only as required.
