I agree with your analysis. It is always the poor and the innocent that suffer most in any war. Sri Lanka is a too small and a poor national to afford a war for such a long time. Continuation of the war will continue hinder the economic development of the country and drag its citizens to misery. Arms Dealers, their commission agents and some NGOs are the real beneficiaries of the war. We have all got into their trap and it is difficult to find a way out now.
As you know, China has over 50 minority nationalities and they are all a happy big family, except a few separatist ideologies being introduced by parties with vested interests in places like Xinjiang. Like China, we have to show the people the ways to make money that people then will not have the for politics or wars. You speak good Chinese.

There you are right. Even Bangla Desh that was one of the poorest countries in the world are better off than Sri Lanka. I hear all the Free Trade Zone factories are been transfered there as western countries are losing the trust in the recent Sri Lankan governments. |

My dad was working in Hatton and Maskeliya for almost 20 years!!..I think you should make your move to China!! the economy is booming..don't listen to what other say about China..a lot of rubbish is spoken about it is hard and the govt is difficult etc..Trust me, Beijing is a wonderful place to live and work. If i can get the same money..i don't mind it is China!! the people are just wonderful!!
Much better than the people in Hong Kong.
One day we may meet in Beijing..

In my view, Tamil civilians should rise up against the LTTE and kill LTTE terrorists dogs wherever they are found. GOSL should facilitate the civilians' efforts to do that.
Unless civilians take this route, unfortunately, LTTE's terror would boomerang and hit civilians themselves.

Yes, I agree with your point here. Because civilians no matter what race they are, they are a part of the GOSL hence have duty to facilitate to cooperate with the democratic pathway as that would be best avenue that is left for them, before the opportunists come up and cause more mayhem.
On the other hand the GOSL must do all the possible avenues to guarantee that civilians are of paramount importance in the effort of elimination of the LTTE scum.
This can be achieved via requesting the civilians to evacuate to GOSL controlled areas within a time period and then launching the final nail on the coffin. |
