Berty,
Thanks for the advice. You are right. My father is Sinhala. But he is again a man who hates to differentiate between any race. I understand your father was in Badulla. My dad was working at the Hopton group for some time. He can speak good Tamil.
But now I live in Switzerland for some time. I may go to China (Beijing) to settle down after the Chinese govt. be a bit more Democratic. |

LTTE never had manpower to match the SLA. But for the last 25 years the war is on and SLA couldnt beat them. You think you can do it now? you are only dreaming. |

If GOSL goes to the negotiation table, it must be with Elephant pass, Pooneryn and samppor in hand.. Otherwise it'll be tough to make LTTE bow down.
They'll come in with minor conditions or no conditions and once they consolidate, they'll throw demands like ISGA into the peace talk ring.. |

I talk to a lot of business people in Sri Lanka, and I feel that they are frustrated with the GOSL who cannot see the economic opportunities and take appropriate political decisions and actions to support the business community.
Sri Lanka has missed the south asian economic boom in the 90s, now the Indian/Chinese Boom. Even Bangaladesh wants to capitalise on it. Pakistan wants to do it they have this religios fanatisism which is destroying them.
But I think with clver decision making Sri Lanka can do it too - there is no point LTTE, what happened before they came into existence?
What do you think about it Berty, Kamani and Terraboo, I notice your conversation re this. |

Swathi,
What does history bring us. The time has come to forget the past and for all Sri Lankans to act as one in the name of that island and the innocent people who are dying everyday. |

The question is not about one beating the other but the majority issues that concern around such onslaught. Please read carefully what I have written to Ariyali. I have mentioned the factors that need be taken to launch a successful war without causing innocent civilain casualties. |
