The LTTE aircraft attack was real.. it was not some SLAF aircraft landing with the use of flares.. LOL..
when was the last time any aircraft landed with flares?? Flares are used only when SAM's have already been fired and only when there's a traget lock ;-) Not when landing at their own base. |

I will not say Tamilnet is the best!! If you consider the Local Media and Tamilnet, i will go for Tamilnet
I will give you a simple ex:
The Local media reported the following on the sluice gate issue (when the negotiations fell apart)
1)The SLA has gone in and just 100 mtrs away
2)Later SL govt invites LTTE for talks on the sluice gates
3)They are waiting to go in since there are land mines
4)LTTE wanted to open with SLMM reps but reported by Govt media they were not informed.
5)shelling of SLMM reps
6) LTTE opened the sluice gates denied by GoSL and they claim they opened it
We all know the truth
the point is from the time the first post came in..100 mtrs away to the actually opening of the sluice gates there were 19 days!!That was total lies!! |

that is completely untrue. Flares are not automatically sent by a computer it is sent by the pilot. It could be sent anytime and anywhere so don?t get your fighter jet know how wrong. Because this shows that your knowledge about fighter jets are very limited!! |

whether you disappoint me or not..I am for PEACE!! i hate to see Innocent Tamils killed for no reason..I have seen it in 1983 and i will not be able to take it..
Kanthun--we all know what really happened..but the GoSL has to deny it and they have to come up with a story and Canon just confirmed it!! |

GOSL missing good FAITH ! so nothing would cure teh GOSL except WAR ! we are just chattingh but we also has to think about the mind of LTTE too , they are not from weak end . a solution acceptable to all community is piece of cake but its imaginable in reality , this many tamil civic deaths and the GOSL has no respect to tamil deaths , mostly the tamils in majority prefer a Tamil Eelam , its costly but the option is forced on the tamils .
Tamils really left out of reach after the VANNKAALI and ALLAIPIDDY massacre
There was a nice chap called DrAkki , with long vision was able to see both tamils and sinhalese same dual approach but the same Anud , criticized him and he is no more coming to the forum.

Sources in Trincomalee town said close-quarter battles are raging and that heavy weapons fire has been stopped by both sides to prevent hitting their respective troops. |

Yes, i remember DR Akka or Akki, but it was my early days in the forum.
I know LTTE will do everything in its power to safeguard the Tamil land and the people but the SLA will take revenge if they loose their men!! for them Tamils civilians are like LTTE, they always have an excuse to say the Civilians were used as human shield!!
I know Peace is a long way to go..and the situation is getting worse every day..I hope and pray the people are not put in any danger..Their welfare is my own worry!! |

| Yes,muhamalai is finished and they are on their way to Jaffna but from the other way..that is from muhamaali to point pedro and not on the A9. People living close to camps have been asked to vacate..mind you there is also information about the islets..very scary...more news to come... |

That could be an LTTE aircraft but don't forget that concerned are old Russian made AN32B aircraft, which has manual release of flares. An alarm goes off when a missile is locked on the craft, then the crew has to operate release mechanism manually. It has been use in numerous times without any alarm in the past. But most flights were landed during the day therefore the flares were not so spectacular. |
