Fresh violence erupts between Sri Lankan troops, Tamil Tigers
COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (CNN) -- Tamil rebels struck the main military base at Palaly in northern Jaffna Friday, marking the first time rebels have targeted military headquarters during the four-and-a-half-year cease-fire between Sri Lanka's government and the Tamil Tigers.

Security forces conduct all military operations against rebels on the northern Jaffna peninsula.

Earlier, government troops were locked in a battle of artillery and mortar fire with Tamil rebels at the Muhamalai checkpoint, known as the gateway from government-controlled areas to the rebel-held Wanni area. (Posted 1:12 p.m.)

Indeed the LTTE did an assessment and realized even if the can carry on after EP they would be vulnerable when consolidating any new territory, they also set partially set aside warmaking to start state-making and hence the parallel defacto state that has been strengthened throughtout the CFA. The LTTE's final aim is a separate country, nothing short of that... SL even though it has 'something' to lose that 'something' wasn't as great as it should have been, easily evidenced by an elder Singapore statesmen who stated SL will never come back together...

Dravid,

Hope fully, you are in that dream for 25 years, Keep in that dream for another 20 years at least, until you wake up. Then you will see the reality. You can see how Tamil are faded away from the island.

LTTE Barbarians:

The Tigers have left Muttur, taking with them 200 able-bodied Muslim men. During the previous phases of the Eelam war, it is alleged that the Tigers detained Muslim and Sinhala civilians to extract blood and body organs.

No, MR does not need any reason to attack Tigers, but he needs something to justify IC. So he got that now.

hope tigers will blow up army bases..if they fail in that..they are going to blow colombo...

yes you always hope..:) don't write nonsense if tigers are in a position to blow up camps, they would have done it by now. Tigers just boast like you.

I dont want to miss the cute sinhala girls around clubs..

This shows how badly you are intimacyually deprived. You can not find cute girls in Vanni eh ??
