Let's hope the diaspora will realise that supporting LTTE while they enjoy the luxuries of developed countries is a recipe for misery for many tamils who are still in Sri Lanka.
The recent events show that LTTE has not invested the funds from diaspora to buy sophisticated arms. If they did that SLA could not have taken territory from them.
It may be they are keeping the stocks for the final assault and just send baby brigade to the frontline for the time being. But it is quite clear that the funds have 'disappeared'. |

Stop your SELF-promoting rhetoric.
Think about This. Tamils lived in PEace before LTTE.
Tamils in the south still have the same conditions. Only the tamils in North and East have to under go suffering either by LTTE or by SLA. Tamils in the south DO NOT SUFFER FROM SLA.
So, Support GOSL to get rid of LTTE. You need to think beyond COMMUNALISM.

The Venerable Anud Veera Soora Soma Thero is absolutely right. The LTTE needs to bring the suffering to the South. The Sinhala south must feel the pain and suffering of Tamils. If the Sinhala terrorists bomb the Tamils, the LTTE also must bomb the Sinhala south. If we are going down, we have to take them along with us.
The timid, peace-loving Tamils forced to take up the arms to defend themselves from the Sinhala racism. The Tamils forced to fight for their rights by the Sinhala Buddhist hegemony. There is no change in that at all.
Why on earth the Tamils should support the Sri Lankan government, Tamils should support the Tamil freedom fighters who are defending the homeland from the Sinhala state terrorists. The SL Tamils must support all means possible to the LTTE to get rid of the Sinhala aggressors from our ancestral land.

The LTTE sprang into action in Trincomalee at 2.50am, attacking the navy base. The heavy attack continued into the morning.
Trincomalee harbour is under artillery attack,' said Navy spokesman Commander D.K.P. Dassanayake. There were no immediate details.
Civilian residents from Manayaveli area quickly moved into the town to escape crossfire. |

No one attacked your homeland. It is safe and sound.
Only problem is tamil suffering because of LTTE.
If you want keep your rhetoric, greed and selfishness. but, think. what is important. Greed or something else.

A spokesman in the Military headquarters in Colombo denied reports that the palely base had been damaged due to LTTE Terrorist attacks. Sources further stated that Pro-LTTE terrorits media are carrying out psycho ? warfare to gain undue propaganda to LTTE terrorists activities in the Northen front.
The media centre for national security claimed initially that it was the LTTE who initially began firing artillery on security forces in Muhamala and Nagakovil around 5.00 p.m. today. The government security forces have begun retaliatory strikes, following these provocative attacks by terrorists.
The source earlier warns that LTTE terrorists are building up their men, women and child soldiers in and around Jaffna while they maintain low profile in the Eastern front of Mttur, Mavil Oya with the so called civilian auxiliary forces. LTTE are in a long term planning to capture the Jaffna city at any cost of civilian lives under the cover present international situation of Lebanon crisis and UK terrorist threats. |

You cannot get emotional based on a few stupid comments and wish LEET bombs Colombo, then it would be civilian suffering from the other side. On the short term it might bring some benefit but on the long term it will create a hatred that will never go away.
Why do you think young Tamils in N/E who have never met a Sinhalese hate the Sinhalese?
You might say what the difference the Sinhalese hate us anyway. Believe me that is only a very few when you look at the big picture I personally don't give a rats a.. about them. |

What happens within the LTTE hegemony is good a guess as yours as well as an eelamists. The point here is the dedication to a cause. I don't see LTTE have a mission to complete other than keeping the funds to fatten their own personal missions (educating their children, buying properties and causing bomb blasts to show that they are not in a sleep). Its a widely known factor and that is why people like Karuna have come out of that rat hole to show the nakedness of these loonies.
When people get money just for sitting inside the whole day and watching tele you r bound to ask where the funds are going or to chanelling to. Nobody asks these qns. If someone gets that through he'll be the next Karuna in waiting so the reasons are clear and precise the LTTE shows the diaspora a different face to what it really does. The stupid diaspora feed the vultures and the vultures are happy to sit and enjoy. Bit like 'make hay while sunshine' situation for a Grasshopper. Velu the Grasshopper is enjoying a rare feat of success due to stupid diaspora.
My question to the GOSL if the situation to LTTE is bleak why not exploit that condition and finish it off.
I feel this is one of the ploys that the aid is blocked to corner them.
What we need mostly now is people like you the 'Strategists' to exploit Lttes weaknesses and perish them to thin air. |

I posted following on 27/Apr/2006. now becoming true.
Now the equation is very clear. SL forces should focus on east and keep attacking selectively on LTTE targets. At the same time, they should get prepared for a major offensive from LTTE. LTTE does not have enough number of fighters to launch a two frong attack, one to Jaffna and another to Trincomalee. So it means that there is going to only one major attack to either Trincomalee or Jaffna. If LTTE is going to attack Trincomalee, then there is a high probability that they will attack Colombo too.
Given the logic, LTTE's best choice is Trincomalee and Colombo. SL forces should make use of this opportunity to recapture strategically important Eliphant-Pass base. Recapturing Elephant-Pass makes LTTE long range artillery ineffective and SL forces can withdraw one division from North to strengthen East further. |
