Yes quite right. The task is to eliminate terrorism, and its everyone's interest that they keep an interest in showing that they are upto the task.
I feel unlike the previous occasions the politicians should provide absolute everything to those brave sons of mother Lanka. In the previous occasions they were thwated by the political intereferences. Now we must not get carried away with little hiccups here and there. The task should be completed and that is called accomplishing the mission.
I feel if the politicians give the green light for removing the scum won't be that hard.

GOSL humanitarian operations to provide WATER to farmers in the EAst and to free TAMIL and MUslim citizens from the tight GRIP of LTTE continues.
AIR FORCE KFIR JETS of the Sri Lanka Air Force carried out several air raids this afternoon (11) at 4.45 p.m. after intelligence reports from the east confirmed that LTTE terrorists were trying to replenish their lost cadres in MAVIL ARU area with hundred of terrorists from un-cleared areas.
According to the Defence Spokesman Hon. Minister KEHELIYA RAMBUKWELLA, Air Force jets took those selected targets in BATTICALOA in an attempt to neutralize and deter their onward march towards MAVIL ARU area to join other terrorists in un-cleared areas.
Intelligence further confirmed, according to the Minister that terrorists with heavy weapons were infiltrating the jungles along the BATTICALOA ? TRINCOMALEE road that runs through un-cleared areas with a view to launching artillery and mortar attacks on the armed forces.
Similarly Air Force jets took several terrorists concentration in jungle areas west of MUHAMALAI after terrorists in jungle hideouts started a rain of artillery fire on the MUHAMALI Forward Defence Line (FDL) while the BATTICALOA march was proceeding.
Minister further told the Army Website that this was purely a limited air operation meant to resist further advance of terrorists into cleared areas and deter them from further attacks on civilians and members of the armed forces.
As this edition went press LTTE terrorists in a flotilla of Sea Tiger boats were in the process of launching two-pronged attacks on the FDL after closing in on from north of POONARINE and east of POONARINE. |
