If a peaceful atmosphere prevails, then can resolve issues by sharing political power.
In 1989, when GOSL implmented the federal solution and provincial govt. system, the first Tamil chiefminister for N/E declared Separate State.
What do you say about their genuineness ?. |

Forest,
Never talk to bunch of ignorants who practice cannibalism. Avoid them as long as you can. But in this case, a democratically elected government can not yield into the demands of a terrorist out fit who strangulate innocent civilians for their selfish motives can not be simply neglected and they should be dealt with fire. That's what government is currently doing and after having stomach full now again they wanna come back to negotiation table. But this is a good opportunity to wipe out these barbarians and don't stop military actions till the last LTTE tribal member dead. Edited By - Freelancer - 6 Aug 2006 20:50:28 GMT |

Forest,
I think the best way is to stick to the CFA
You have to be little practical than this. You know what has happened for the last few months and who was acting as if there is no CFA or SLMM to monitor.
We cannot go back and reverse everything but the CFA is an utter failure it didn't matter in the first place as it was a political gimmick which worth nothing if you look at it carefully. The UNP government wanted to show the world something in the eyes of the CFA whereas the truth is giving enormous powers to a terror orginasation in the name of peace. When you don't have money its not advisable to have a loan is it? Ranil did exactly that he gave in to Velu's demands thus they kept quiet and increased their requisites. Since Mahinda came to power the tables have turned and we are trying to find a way out.
Its a very hard to come out of this trap that Ranil squeezed us into and we are still paying for that snare. The only solution is not the CFA, but eliminating terrorsism and embracing the tamil political parties to the main political stream.
Velu would never give in to Federal or any devolution, its puerile if we are talking such thing. He is a monster who does have one vision which is eelam without that he would not give in anything. Its either we surrender to terrorists or eliminate them. The choice is ours, personally I don think a country should surrender to a terrorist movement. Way forward is listening to people not to terrorists. |

| Yep, I do think the same, 'I think the best way is to stick to the CFA. '. At the same time keep firing MBRLs at terrorist positions relentlessly while keep Kfir flying over targets one wave after another. Is it so difficult to negotiate peace using both words and hardware? |

CFA is nothing but a drag.
We are tired of short-term resolution.
Lets go and finish it GOSL/LTTE way.
One short and mean war can lead to a very long and fulfilling peace.
We don't want another year spent on this anymore. Edited By - aabdeen - 6 Aug 2006 21:00:15 GMT |
