Priyanthi,

Banda family has totally ruined the country and Mahinda is now carrying out the same project!!

It's the narrow mentality of the Sinhala politicians, also the inferiority complex over Tamils from the time of British rule, caused the no mercy war in SL.

U talking as if you r so frustrated dear. Politics let alone Sinhalese tamil have the same set up in Asia its not new to SL.

India; Nehru's daughter, Indira and her son, Rajiv and then his wife ok. Then in Pakistan Zulfikar-Ali Bhutto's daughter Benazir. These things are not uncommon.

GGs son Kumar was trying the same. Its everywhere in Asia if you carefully study it whether you like it or not. Mahinda's son will be a president after some years, that is asian pattern in politics.

The British were clever to use the 'divide' and 'rule' system. They employed the tamils for the higher administration and left the majority Sinhalese to work under their Arachchila mahatthayas who did dirty on poor people. Once the British left us, they left the country to the majority of Sinhalese and rightly so. But the tamils failed to realise the integration with the majority Sinhalese so that they wanted to dominate the Sinhalese like they did during the Suddha's era. Having failed that miserably for years and years Now crying foul.

The story goes on and on dear. The only solution is to embrace to the democratic scheme that we have or else perish with the hopeless dream like the moth who sees the light.

Its never late to change the mind and come for peace, but not with mental instabilities.

Hey Kamani,

and do in our own way which is Sri Lankan way

http://youtube.com/watch?v=7KhBTiic4YM&mode=related&search=

The Story of Velu and Madhivadini (or whatever)

Deep in the jungle, he lost her favour
Another gambit-he would have made her
He gave her perfume-she used his razor
And decided to change his ways
She was a gambler-he didn't blame her;
She had a dimple in her favour
At the last minute, he always chased her
And decided to change his ways
Life would be so much more exciting
If we could live it day to day
We could at least adjust the lighting
To illuminate the way
He took the loving that she'd been craving
She took advantage of the saving;
It almost ruin her reputation
And decided to change his ways
She wasn't crazy 'bout his behaviour;
She read it somewhere in the paper;
He was seducing a ballerina
And decided to change his ways

LOL ;-)

Excerpts from http://www.swissinfo.org/eng/international/ticker/detail/Sri_Lankan_troops_intensify_firing.html?siteSect=143&sid=6951391&cKey=1154875051000

Tiger political wing leader S.P.Thamilselvan said the Tigers would unblock the sluice gate if fighting stopped and the government increased development in rebel areas.

eh, 'terrorists' wishing that the fighting stopped? not too much terror left in them, i suppose. :-)

a Reuters witness saw and heard the heaviest military artillery and multi-barrel rocket barrage for days fired from military bases in Trincomalee towards rebel territory. Smoke rose from a whole section of the horizon and the ground shook.

woah! the doomsday is dawning on you LTTers! watch Ghost Busters and be ready! :-))

The Tigers, who have fought for two decades for a separate Tamil homeland, said in the mid-afternoon they had not yet retaliated but were angry.

grrrr! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!
is it the roar of the tiger i am hearing, or is he still asleep!?
whichever it is, it's 'only the roar' i am hearing. :-)

'The Norwegian government is very concerned about the SLMM and its future,' Hanssen-Bauer told reporters in Kilinochchi.

at least the scumbag is being honest!!

Why brahmins participated in most British administration than other caste in India? For the same reasons, tamils were recognized :

This was not true for TamilNadu where Tamil brahmins and HIndi language were discriminated as much as possible by other tamil castes with the help of colonial govt.
