30 Tiger cadres had been killed in a suicide attack launched by the Karuna faction

The government-owned Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation in its evening news bulletin claimed that 30 Tiger cadres had been killed in a suicide attack launched by the Karuna faction.
The faction, led by former Tiger number two, Vinayagamoorthy Muralitharan alias Karuna, today claimed that it had launched its first suicide attack against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) at a LTTE roadblock at the entry-exit point in Vavunathivu in Sri Lanka`s east.
But pro-Tiger websites reported only the deaths of two persons who were traveling in a three-wheeler from the government-controlled territory. The dead persons were allegedly suspected to be members of a paramilitary group working with the state armed forces.

This is not surprise from Tamil 'trumpet' net as usual. Theyhave calulated the figure by dividing 15 this time, usually its 10. |

In the last decade if one adds up all the LTTE killed it will be well over 50k or even close to 100k.
i thought it was 50 killed!! |

Any suicide attack must be strongly condemned no matter LTTE, SLA or Karuna.
I strongly oppose this uneducated, miserable, uncivilized and cowedly act.
All supporters for such activity must be diminished from this civilized world in this 21st century.

Exactly, LTTE were worried about Karuna since Karuna was given the sack or left the LTTE.
Now its the payback time for the once a mighty LTTE.

| When would dittadamma vedaniya happen to karuna for killing 600 unarmed policemen. It is said King Asoka went to hell after doing so many good karma. So why would Karuna be spared? |

Karuna defected for money. folks who are with him work for money. pretty large sums too since there was a story of two men returning from the ME to work.
karuna isnt gonna mount any suicide operations but then againfor the average sinhala man/woman anytiem there is a big figure put out they are just happy. dont want to think twice.
infact there are folks here who still beleive RW gave the defacto state or the LTTE and dont beleive the LTTE chased the SLA from there. enjoy ! |
