Our main problem is dishonesty and greed for power. Like Buddha said our leaders only care for themselves and not for the country or its people. Its a pity that lot of us suffer due to ignorance of our leaders.
When there is a measure to eliminate terrorism in a small country like ours our leaders let it grow by dealing arms and make their bank accounts hefty. |

What we Sri Lanka lack is a solid, clever and erudite politician with passion for country and its people than a 'preacher'.
In the past we had 'Puran Appu' against the mighty British. He had the characteristics to take on the mighty British and made them pay for the increase of taxes but Puran appu ultimately sacrificed his life.
We don't have that type of Sinhalese leaders any more sadly. |

In fact some people believe that Jesus Christ learnt lot from Buddhist philosophy even after Buddha's passing away of 500 years later on. I am not an expert in these religious doctrines but I would like to see someone enlighten on this matter without throwing any blasphemy to any religion.
