There seems to be lot of people in this forum enjoying a defeat to the Sri Lankan candidate. Those must be the non Sri Lankans participating in this forum. There is nothing wrong in that since they should support their own National candidate or their allies. Talking about the Sri Lankan candidate?s credentials and slanders must be part of their campaign. Try your Luck, it never pays.

'when will sri-lanka army follow the example of the LTTE and stop killing civilians'

hehehehehehehehehehehe......

Thanks for the hilarious jokes captain 98. I think just two days ago the LTTE killed a rival tamil politician in colombo! Way to go!

I agree that there is a point here though and the SLA and SLN should be very careful and I condemn any possible extrajudicial killings by any renegade members of the SLA. Anyone found guilty should be put in prison.

Nevertheless, the LTTE kills civilians not just directly but indirectly as well by their claymore mine and hand grenade blasts aimed at the SLArmy but sometimes tamil civilians get caught up and get killed or get injured and this has been going on throughout the twenty two years. So can LTTE be called liberators?

Also, LTTE incites violence and is now trying to create ethnic riots and incite both the sinhalese and the tamils with their claymore mine blasts, bombs etc. This must stop immediately if there is to be no more war and ethnic harmony.

I suggest both sides, most especially the LTTE rigourously stick to the CFA, for a start.

The problem with the LTTE is that it does not know anything else except killing rivals and using guns and bombs in general.....

Forest that is true, but the numbers that the LTTE kills is peanuts compared to the numbers that the security forces have done. As for 'rogue elements' people like Janaka Pereria get promoted to high postions in SL and they are responsible for the deaths and disappearances of 100s of civilians - these are not 'rogue' elements these are the people in charge from the very top.

If SLA stop killing civilians and follow a moral path like LTTE, there would be more ethnic harmony between Tamils and Sinhalese

Muru,

So the numbers that the LTTE kills are few!

Come on! which planet are you living in?

LTTE should give up violence altogether. I am not telling them to give up arms but to stop using them, I think a minimum, decent and justifiable request.

Cobra,
I agree with you, LTTE has put a full stop to economic development in the north east to the detriment of the vast majority of tamil people living there who are farmers and fishermen.
