Jayantha Dhanapala is a good candiadate from a wrong country and this is no surprise.

The surprise will be the final winner!!

The winner will be from a small country (not Sri Lanka though) and had not featured in the early polls yet.

With the strategic relationship with USA the South Korean will be a strong contender too. However, the recent beahaviour of the South vis-a-vis the North Korean missile test would turn out to be a disadvantage for him.

We will wait and see!!

We should be impartial... but I guess no one that support the LTTE can be impartial. One of the first to be brought to Hague, should be Mr Prabhakaran. War crimes are committed everywhere in the world. Just look what the US are doing right now. The world's greatest democracy... Well, don't believe that anymore.

Dhanapala should not suffer because of what the GOSL or SL forces have done. And who says the LTTE never kills innocent people? They continue to abduct children. ceasefire violations: 216 for the GOSL and 3754 by the LTTE (22.02.2002-30.06.2006). Are you blind? Well I guess 3754 doesn't mean anything to you. I'm sorry if you or anyone else you know have suffered from the SL forces. But you can't honestly say that the GOSL could learn from the LTTE... I wonder how that would look like in Sri Lanka... But maybe you mean these figures are wrong or false?

The SL forces should stop all the killings and crimes they commit. That is true. But so should the LTTE do too. Prabhakaran is a true coward. He let the children do the fighting and he himself is hiding somewhere in the jungle. Not a hero... is he? And the suicide bombings... Who do you think are blowing themselves up?
I hope Dhanapala will win. But I guess he is too old. But he is one of the most qualified among them. And you could read about Surakiart Sathirathai. That should be a problem for him. Dhanapala have never been a minister and therefore not responsible for any crimes committed by anyone subordinate to him. /Mr Lanka

Unfortunetly he is not capable for the post!! Full stop.

The TRUTH is what the GoSL and its forces have done does COUNT!!(What LTTE does is immaterial)

I think what Mr Dhanapala should do is work on the PEACE process.
What is his view on LTTE and the Peace Process? anyone has any articles on that. I would like to read..

Africans and the Tamils are the poorest and filthiest ethnic groups in the world.

Why is that ?

Above statement by Cobra is strongly condemned.

both Tamils as well as Africans are against the current world's treatment. These two ethnic populations have been mishandled by rest of the world. When they react to the situation, Cobra says most unethical.

This statement is very unacceptable.
Honarable Mahabala strongly condemn this statement in public.

Unfortunately, Mahabala is not a senior member abd cannot file an abuse case. I also urge senior members to react the statement if they want.

Mahabal is not afariad of saying wrong if it is wrong, even mother, father or god

Uncle Sam's influence in the UN is obviously the reason why 'South Korea's Ban Ki-Moon topped the poll'.

North korea will be up against the ropes if the head of the UN is a south Korean, and of course he'll be dancing to the tunes of the US. Now the US can invade any country with the backing of the UN ;-)

Even if it wasn't for the US, there's no way Mr.Dhanapala had any chance ;-)
