You mean, even the Vatican is a 'nominal' chritian country? The Pope doesn't seem to be interested in 'turning other cheeks'. The Pope hires mercinaries to safeguard Vatican!.
I have nothing against that. Nor have I anything against Buddhists using violence against LTTE's terrorism.
SL Buddhist want to root out Tamils.
This as to be corrected as below.

Sinhalese were chased away from the North. Muslims were chased away from the North.
Yet Sinhalese and Muslims allow Tamils to co-exist with them in the South.

All these Tamil nationalism, Tamil homeland, LTTE came after Sinhala fundamentalism and state terrorism.
If you get to know about the past history, you would realise this. |

Sinhlase migrated from Sinhala-speaking 'Sinhala Nadu' of South India. Those people in 'Sinhala Nadu' in India still speak 'Sinhalese'.
Tamils originated in Sri Lanka. There is no 'Tamil Nadu' in South India where Tamil is spoken.
This theory can also be extended to prove that English speakers are native to USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Eelamist Tamils do not not even have a Tamil name for 'Mada Kalapuwa' the so called 'capital' of Eastern Eelam. The word they use, 'Matta Kalappu' is a Sinhalese derivation and has no Tamil meaning.
This is because Eealamist Tamils like exotic names hence named their major cities with exotic Sinhalese place names.
Thanks now i no how Sinhala language migrated from india. and Tamil language migrated from Mada kalapuwa to Tamilnadu. |

for once i agree with u. see Waml speaks the truth, i thought wimal would say that Sinhalese migrated fron Tamilnadu.
yes i agree it was a time that the State over reacted. lets hope for the best

Yes, they are nominal christians.

It was in 1947 when Tamil racists contemplated to 'secade from Sri Lanka', and merge with South India.
Thanks to 'divide and rule' practised by the British, Tamils enjoyed more privileges from the Colonials. When the British were about to leave, Tamil separatists realised their 'honeymoon' was over, and resorted to 'Tamil separatism' to secure the privileges.
Tamils separatists had no problem with 'English' being the official language, but fiercely opposed when 'Sinhalese' become the official language. This is because of their hatred against Sinhalese.
This very same lot is quite keen to go to Italy or France or Norway on refugee visas and master Italian/French/Norsk. They boast about getting 'first class treatment for Tamils' but none of these countries ever make Tamil an official language or grant any other 'Tamil rights'. These Tamils are very much happy raising their Children to speak Italian/French/Norsk.
If only they had the same attitude towards learning Sinhalese.....Today's blood bath would have been avoided.
