Mucha,
Naleen never tried to destroy anyone. Perhaps some people did not like his style.

He was one of the few people whom you can have a difference of opinion and argue.

He had his view and should be permitted to express them without any resrvations and he did. So are many others. However, I though that banning him from the forum was not the best to kepp a healthy discussions on issues.

It is true that I gave up arguing with someone in this thread when I realised that the discussions were going nowhere.

How can you argue on the content of the book written by Prof. Indrapala, after reading it fully, with someone who is so capable of arguing without even reading once?

How can you argue with someone, who chooses to ignore all what you say and hang on to one or two of his statement and keep on reapeatig it?

I can't...

KULA:

Naleen never tried to destroy anyone.

I am not agreeing to this, provided the word 'Destroy' was not used as a negetive remark. In fact, there is no point argiung on this at his absence.

However, the fact is that I liked his writing style certainly more than that of MAGHA or SK63 which I find overly gentle.

Mucha,
I understood what you meant; however I would have preferred you to have used a more approprite word than 'destroy'. That was anyway your choice.

I wanted to comment particularly in his absence.
On principle he does not want to enter the forum on any other name.

Naleen had views that opposed the extremists on both sides which is the need of the hour, in discussing Sri Lankan politics in today's context.

I do not want to disturb your innocent thoughts. But, if I am allowed to be skeptic, you are yet to come across a Junior Member!!

Dear Mucha,

Good to know that you are back in the barracks and loading your heavy artillery.

I do love to swim at Maavil Aru but I have already been there for a short period (2 weeks) in June ?06.
This time I will be heading in a different direction.

Naleen got banned for bashing the Sun God and I think, Pera also got banned (not so sure) for bashing our Pathini amma from Aus.
These days, Mr. Brown is practicing Karate chops mostly on senior members, at any time Lula may end up in his frying pan, I cannot slip anymore, the last time he used a Red fishing rod.

I am quite busy these days, preparing monthly reports and handing over reports to those who will cover up my duties during my absence.
In between, I take some short breaks to reply my fellow pals in this forum.

To my knowledge, the damage caused by Gamaya is unrecoverable, as it should be.

This is the best joke I found from your post.

Just look at GamaRaala?s last post addressed to me, I am still laughing at it.
I never realized that, feeding punnakku to a GonRaala turns out to be soooo interesting.
Just look at what he is writing,

Mister Lula, it was not 'SL TAMIL IDENTITY', but individual Tamils. KI in NO UNCERTAIN terms say SL Tamil Identity emerged only after 12 CAD. Regardless of how much this hurts you, that was what KI says.

All this time we were discussing about Tamils in SL and not Tamils in India or Singapore or anywhere else.
When it comes to Tamil identity in the Island, weather you call them SL Tamils or individual Tamils in SL, it is the same.

After narrating the story of Ramayana the whole night, he wakes up on the next day morning and asks, how is Rama related to Sita.

Even Gonharak (bulls) will understand when you say jak, jak, but this one seems to be a Meeharak (Buffalo) Raala, Kula has put it in a gentle manner.

I wanted to prepare a very long reply to all what he has written, but at this moment, why should I waste my precious time on a .....

Have a good day,
Cheers,
Thanthai Lula the ordinary Ponniya.

Mister Lula, Do you call Prof Karthigesu Indrapala a 'Gon Haraka' simply because he says 'SL Tamil Identity emerged only after 12 CAD', while also saying 'there were Tamils in SL prior to that'? :-) :-)

This is what I already REPEATED to you many times, Prof KI is the worst enemy of Tamil Eealimists.

Even Gonharak (bulls) will understand when you say jak, jak, but this one seems to be a Meeharak (Buffalo) Raala, Kula has put it in a gentle manner.

When Kula puts foward novel ideas like 'issuing coins mean having indepdent kingdoms', there by arguing there were 8,000 different indepdent kingdoms existed as late as 1800s in the USA, it clearly explains who the 'Mee haraka' is and who the 'Mee harak worshiper' is ;-)

Mucha,
The problem here is that the people who recently fell in LOVE with Prof. Karthigesu Indrapala do not know what he proved in 1965 with truck loads of archaelogical evidences. It is good if they know those before misinterpretting his latest work.

Tamil Eelamists apply a set of 'measurements' to historical sources that could only be described bizarre.

In one hand, they are hellbent on obsoleting KI's 1965 thesis as well as his presentations delievered at the session of the Royal Asiatic Society. For them, nothing what so ever from KI-1965 is acceptable. Everything has to be discarded outright. Eelamists claim that during last 40 years, new evidences emerged, so 1965 thesis is now too old to have any worth at all! ;-)

(There were archaeological facts that KI provided in 1965. Whatever that has changed during last 40 years, KI described them in his new book. Unless KI-1965 facts were interpreted differently in KI-2006, there is no justification to discard all of them outright.)

On the other hand, The same lot, shooting their own feet, are quite lovingly embrace what HJC Cleghorn said over 200 years ago. HJC Cleghorn who was not even a historian!! ;-)

Hello Lula and Kula

New armour can be acquired for future battles but it wont alter previous the history. History is a history and new armour with sophisticated technology to analyse the archaeology is always welcomed. New recipe book with same old SL cuisine will be boring. Wouldn't it be nice if this armour can proof balangoda man was speaking in grammatical Sinhala and managed to control Pungudutevu inhabitants through his govorners. It seems there will be many professors out in the near future with their hypothesis and let them do their research on it. Please don't waste your time unless you find something new and valid and the p Value should be less than not 0.01, ok we will give 5.

You know one time renowned professors are now considered as useless. I don't deny that human being are bound to mistakes that includes professors. The fact of the matter here we need solid proooofs. Not biased analysis.

Dear Muru

Hope you are enjoying the fascinating world of history and his-stories. In this particular thread GR have the tendency for autolysis. Some are incorrigible. Just a friendly note to you for save your time.
