Kula uncle!
Good morning to you.
I believe that Sri lanka is mine. (mine is Tamil mindset)
Gamraala believes that Sri lanka is of him.(Sinhala mindset). Sinhala mind set is for the todays problem.
We are believing only, that' all. There is no historical evidence who were the ancestors of the country.
All historical evidences were ruined with fire on jaffna bibiliothèque.
Dr. Indrapala can write history and Gamaraala also can write another history. But the truth, Ceylon became Sri lanka, they claim, now Sri lanka is only for Sinhalese.
Once it was called 'Ilankai and eelam' which was of Tamils.
We must wait and see, it would be Sri lanka or Ilankai or Tamil Eelam.

Petijo,
Good moring to you.
Unlike many pseudo-historians who write history to satisfy political ends, Prof. Indrapala is an honest historian who present historical perspectives in a very scientific way.
Problem is how people selectively use his writings to suit them.

He has preseneted a strong case to prove that both Sinhalese and Sri lankan Tamils are native to this land and can claim ownership.

You have raised another interesting point. One of the early Portuguese writers had written that the natives of Seilam had told him that the real name of their country is 'Ila Nare' what he believed to have come from the Tamil word Eela Nadu. But, normally I do not just take what the foreign writers say as it is not always reliable particularly when they write about the past.

The problem is that we are still arguing about the past to satisfy the ego of the extremists of both communities without realizing the danger it posses for the future of the country.

Thanks
Uncle Kula

This one gone too much. Do you know why, because the problems are monks.

We should beg these Mongolian Monks to go back and let us live in Peace.

Training on co-existance should be given to Jaffna Tamils first because they can not co-exist with any other groupin the world.

Buddist monks are religious group. As a religious group their primary duty is to co-existance with other religious grops, Christians, Muslims, Hindus. Right now they are doing their duty properly and that is why we dont have any relious war in Sri Lanka.

Monks never try to provoke people against other religions, they raise their voice only agaist a bunch or terrorist. this is a duty of every law abiding citizen of the county irrespective of his religion.

Petijo1,

I am looking the root of the problem. Lord Buddha was belong to Han's Family. Han's dynasty existed in North-East Barath (not the current India). In those area as today, most of the Mongolian descendents lived and still live. Most of his followers are from Mongolian Area. Those monks went to far east upto China and far south upto Maldives.

The TRICK they used always hid behind the Kings. Even today they are behind the Govt.

Yes this is the curse to our own Sri Lanka. Today, Majority of Tamils speak Sinhala language which is a mixture of Tamil and the Pali. The so called Sinhala people are really the Old Tamil People. In fact there are no Sinhala Race. Only Tamil Race exists in Sri Lanka, but majority of Tamils speak Sinhala and minority of Tamils speak Tamil.

This is the ultimate Truth.

Kula,

Can you quote where Prof. Indrapala said that there was no Tamil Kingdom in Jaffna at any given time??

Can you show where Indrapala says there was an indepedent Tamil kingdom in NE?

Did Indrapala miss this piece of Jem? :-))

What you do is quote Indrapala on 'existance' of Tamils and then link that with your 'imaginary Tamil Kingdom' :-)
