Does this mean in the US, Americans have to learn 'Tamil' to peacefully co-exist with Tamil migrants?
Definitely NOT!!
In Reality most of the Tamils learn to speak Sinhalese so Easily,(This is to ensure Tamils live and work in colombo and to mix with sinhalese) why can't the Sinhalese make an effort to learn Tamil. Does this mean Sinhalese are idiots? Definitely NOT!!
The Sinhalese do not feel it is necessary cos they do not see the need to do so.
We are all trying for PEACE!! when we forge ahead to wards peace we will have obstacles but it is worth the Effort.
U can't satisfy all and your one of those!! |

The Buddhist clergy will have tremendous influence in educating and shaping the attitudes of Sri Lankans about peace and inter-ethnic relations.
It is very interesting that US is teaching Buddhist monks about peace and inter-ethnic relations. Lord Buddha's teachings were not enough or convincing? This is like young girls organizing courses on child birth to mothers.
Will the US also teach Israeli Jews about peace and stop them killing the civilians in their neighboring countries?
US must teach JHU first. |

Are Americans learning Tamil or making an effort to learn Tamil to co-exist Tamil migrants? Is England doing it? Is Germany or France or Italy or Australia doing it?
Perhaps, they are the ones that cannot be 'satisfied' :-)
These 'peaceful' contries give NO EQUAL RECOGNITION to Tamil. Tamil language is treated a second class language, although Tamils work hard to improve their economies.

The purported reason for Tamil separatism is 'Tamil language not having equal rights'. To this end, USA or UK has ZERO rights for Tamil language. That is how they gurantee EQUAL rights for every race :-) It's just that English speaking Americans or Englishnmen are MORE EQUAL than the migrant races.
The psychological slaves of the Westerners can never make comparisons with their masters; slaves are not entitled to independent or rational views. Slaves blindly follow what their masters order them to do. (Some even 'cough' for free)
USA and UK are often touted as the model democracies; saviours of human rights. They reward 'hard working Tamil migrants' by giving second class treatments to Tamil language and Hindu religion. :-)) They have a lot to learn from us, Sri Lankans. It should be us who should give 'lessons' to them ;-)

This is a good move. Monks should learn about other religions and languages, the only way to find peace is to accept that we are all equal and only differ by language and religion.
LTTE also should be given some training on similar activities. They should be taken a tour on Colombo to see the milti ethnic cities in Sri lanka. |

LTTE is fighting to develop the North. That is why they kill poor Sinhalese and Muslims villagers and ethinically cleansed the North. It is easy to develop once they get rid of other ethnics.

do you think LTTE had done a good job so far ?. it cant solved by LTTE. It can be solved by a person who is not LTTE and some one from GOSL who is not with JHU/JVP unless they change their attitude.
i dont understand why people dont understand that the same people have tried the same things for 25 years. its time to moveon. |
