I thought Trinco and jaffna are both still under GOSL control. Correct me if I am wrong.

I think it is due to military disipline of the SLA ;-)

Let me tell you something that i have told the forum before

a dozen yrs back in NYC 42 street we met a few sinhalese. spoke to them.decent fellows i would imagine. 42nd street was a red light area those days. these guys were carrying MOPS while walking inside the premises.

I think a one person acknowledged it here. I still have a coin .(or token. it says Nilmini entertainment.

PS-
the only reason i bring this up is to show that you have folks from the sinhalese community doing menial jobs too.
i dont like to talk about jobs others do since a job is a job. all of us are very lucky to have reasonable jobs and we shouldnt look down on others.

all i can say is if its a legal job that puts food on the table i'll do it.

I thought I explained this. Due to the military disipline of SLA. Just kidding ok. Now don't go hammering me.

Same reason why LA down town is a hell hole. Trinco has still not become a big city in SL and beggers would rather stay in a city that is not close to war.
