If we trace ourselves back to a few centuries then we must have been a same group of people perhaps brothers and sisters then. Now we are trying to beat each other calling them all sorts of names and eternal hatred inside.
I always feel if Velu has spent nearly 30 years in a bunker ordering killing noth tamils and Sinhalese how long is he going to do it more? The Sinhalese leaderships were never 100% honest we know that but at least they show some willingness to provide a solution wrt to one country policy. |

I have to ask you the same question that I am asking Rick. Do you have sinhalese friends and don't tell me that you don't have at least one distant sinhalese relative within your extended family.
My contention is that almost all sinhalese have at least one distant tamil relative and almost all tamils have at least one distant sinhalese relative. Ask today, among you tamils friends and family and you will find out that I am telling the truth. This is because I did the same thing and it is true, I do have a number of distant tamil relatives within my extended family! It is quite true and pleasantly surprising as well.
So are you saying that we cannot share political power within a federal system?

We are not against Sinhalese. We are only against State terrorists, Sinhala fundamentalist and politicians. In fact all my life I lived Colombo, except one year in Jaffna when State terrorists and mobs chased us from Colombo.
I have number of Sinhala friends in SL and out side SL. They all understand the problems and blame the politicians. We all peace lovers but won?t tolerate state terror imposed on us any longer.
We found only language understand by State Terrorist and Sinhala fundamentalist is hit back, the world has beginning to understand this now.
You seen to be questioning Rick, same time why don?t you question people like Cobra ?
Any way we need people like Cobra, JVP and JHU they will be our heroes one day.

I had Sinhalese friends when I was working in Colombo. Only for a short spell. They were good as gold.
I have Sinhalese friends here as well. We speak about matters to the depth that includes our family matters to simple chores. We help each other no difference at all. Honestly we don't speak politics of Srilanka because we give importance to our friendship. If we are having a mixed crowd in the party no one speaks about Srilanka even if you are drunk up to the nose.
