I emphasized the word Rs 42,000 as their 'Kimpalam' is a lot more.

The Sri Lankan bureaucracy stinks.

where ru chatting from? I suppose sri lanka!!
My parents and my bro are in Sri lanka too!!

Rs 15,000 is a decent salary i suppose!!I know the cost of living in SL is very high but can you manage with that kind of salary for a month if you have your own house.

Hi Berty brother,

Thanks. You seem to be a likable 'anna' for many in the forum. I don't know what to call you.

It is true that the housing takes the biggest part of the salary but I would think even 15,000 may not be enough.

May be if you are a single fine but family means you are in deep trouble.

500g vegetable is not this side of 50 rupees.

Now you can make a guess.

you dont know about sri lanka.

A driver in the colombo port is said to get more than 1000 USD, quite same to your salary in Hong Kong.

Lanka,
It must be a very isolated case in a particular month and the guy must have worked overtime almost everyday. However, one should also admit the fact that the facilities too are abused.
There are many workers at the port who comes in the morning muster their name and go and drive autos. They come again during lunch and collect their lunch too.

Land like no other.
