How much are you being paid in HGKG, Berty?


hahahaha...where ru from Lanka? I pay a Tax in excess of US$10,000 and work out my salary!! lolz..The Tax rate is maximum 13% in Hong Kong!! Let me see the figure you will arrive at!! lolz..

Kula- is that so!! if they are paid Rs 6000- that is a good salary i suppose..how much are the Clerical staff paid in Srilanka? say a bank teller?

Its sound good but very little you can do with Rs 6000 particularly now.
The cost of living is going through the roof. You will be surprised to note that with Rs 6,000 you cannot make ends meet.

It is pathetic.

Do you know how much a maid is paid in HK? US$ 420- The employer also have to get her a Medical Insurance and give her a room to live and give Sundays & public Holidays off!!

Sometimes these Maids dress better than the Madam in the House!! lolz

You have touched a very interesting point.

Though cruel in one perspective, the other side of the story is that a family back in the village is fed with that salary.

Anyway, my family is paying to an old lady and not to a child.

A Servant getting Rs 6000- with free accommodation and meals is a good deal brother in Sri Lanka..!!

why do you say they struggle with this money!!

ru talking about servants or clerical staff?

Officially that( U$420) is the salary of Ministry Secretary in Sri Lanka.

BTW A bank teller who is realtively paid a higher salary than a standard clerk gets a little more than Rs 15,000.
