The figure may be quite right. There are thousands working as domestic servents, mine workers, quarry workers, shop/hotel assistants, child soldiers and in many other harsh environments.


I agree but i do have a question..which mines are we talking about?

Kusumban,

Please dont talk about the poor tamil living in estates in the hill country. You sinhala people dont have any right to talk about them. Because of following reasons,

1. GOSL is the reason for removing their nationlity and made the people without nationality...

2. GOSL is the reason for depriving them of education and keeping in the tea estates.

3. GOSL never set a standard salary or compensation for them although they worked hard in the estates and contributed to the countries wealth more than any other industry.
