But there is a growing feeling, right or wrong, that Sri Lanka is not taking advantage of the international sanctions against the LTTE to realise that there can be no military solution to the conflict.

HIndustan times is the newspaper that P.K. Balachandran writes. They always look for what India can gain out of this.
If Mahinda raja pakse can handle this properly, don't worry.
Mr. President, If you listen to all these morons you are not a leader and you become a follower. If such a person was the leader in Israel, by now Israel is long gone.
So be your self and think for the country.
GOSL seems to be in the write path. So don't worry.

You say This president does not listn. When your student do not listen, what did you do?
When my students do not listen I contribute to the issue and feel the ownership and take my wisdom with me wherever I go. In this instance if the Sri Lankan president does not listen - my work will go towards Universal rights and wrongs and beyond that Truth which is eternal. As Cobra has said in one of his posts - leaders like Mahathma Gandhi who were shot down did not die. Their minds were already living through millions and their heart lives on forever through Universal Truth.
So let's keep working for Truth. Then all those who seek Peace will use our answers and we will live through them. The President of Sri Lanka has the opportunity to participate with us in developing peace at the Universal level. If he does not appreciate that opportunity - we must not 'wait' due to our 'attachment' to seen outcomes - but proceed beyond those narrow boundaries who think they are secure in their own little world.

It is not the Ranil, but great leaders like president GWB and Prime Minister Blair brought these terrorist onto knee.
But now these terrorists are trying and checking whether World leaders forgot 9/11.

You tolerate killing because at the end you can be happy that tamils bullied GOSL and sinhalas to give you your ' own country'. |

If Mahinda Rajapakse can control how the India is thinking and behaving, there will be many countries to provide you foreign aids, and Sri Lanka wil grow faster than India.
Remeber, that is what Velu is doing right now, India is running here and there jumping up and down. They want GOSL to be the cat picking jack seed in the fire.
How India solved the Punjabi problem ?.
Attacked Amritsar and killed Birendraval.
Then why, GOSL does not carpet Kilinochchi and solve the problem.
India followed one method and they want us to follow another method.
GOSL need to remember our soldiers are dying in order to protect tamils from LTTE.
Even the Diaspora don't go to kilinochchi. they visit colombo, kandy and then Kataragama nd come back. EELAm taX cheaters.

Can you catch fish before you get to the water?
According to the way I see it that is what the government is trying to do.
Before peace could be attained the environment for peace has to be achieved and Sri-Lanka is no where close to it.
All criminal acts should be investigated proper and brought to Justice this is not to please the LTTE but to build confidence with the general population.
The systems in place have been bias for such a long time that object targeted initiatives should be put in place even with a sunset clause.
Hate crime laws should be passed and enforced.
If this happens the GOSL will have a better chance of negotiating. |

Among them are chief editor of the Daily News, Bandula Jayasekara, London reporter of the Island newspaper Dushie Ranathunga, Security reporter for the Diviina Newspaper, Keerthi Warnakulasoriya, London Times reporter, Nevil De silva, Sri Lanka correspondent of the Asian Tribune, Janaka Perera, London TBC corespondent Jayasingham Rajadevan, anti Tiger mediaman Sivarajan in Norway and three others in Sri Lanka Australia association.
Tamil political parties against Tiger doctrine say that the name of the convener of the recently established ?Media men for the country? Ruwanthi Kariyawasam is also been included in the Tiger list.
