same story as Soul on the way to persecute people he met God and turned around and became (Paul) one of the first evangelist in the Bible. I think Moratu-Saman met God Down-under in the bushes..
God is real man Moratu-Saman is a living example.. :O)
He is not only born again over night he has become and Evangelist too...

Cobra,
There is a very powerful mantra called a gayatree mantra...
which is invoking Energy of Sun God ! People of Yogic knowledges chant these often for 108 times.
I believe in the Universal power of the Gayathri Mantra - through my faith in Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Do you feel connected to me? or do you need conscious and logical explanations from me when I make a statement?
love

Gajan99,
You say We need to get rid of terrorism and we are determined to do that. On any grounds terrorism cant be justified.
Who are the WE? If it is the whole world, then you need to follow International standards and use International language to share your feelings and wisdom. If it is you and I, then we first need to agree on our common grounds.

Good morning Gaja Akka,
We means all those who are against the terrorism .
Yes we need to agree on many things and it is not difficult.
I still believe we can settle this peacefully if tgers are prepared for a compromise.
Only thing we cannot accept is a seperate country within SL. I think that is the problem with tigers too. Their only expectation is EALAM.
This is where we have stuck at the moment.
The day tigers undesrtand that there is no room for Ealam in the world map we will be able to solve this problem easily. Till then we will have to pass this unfortunate period.

Gaja99,
You say The day tigers undesrtand that there is no room for Ealam in the world map we will be able to solve this problem easily. Till then we will have to pass this unfortunate period.
But I see a different picture through my wise eyes, if the Tigers step down without some form of self-governance. I see Tamils being seen as 'failures' and being suppressed to become a depressed society. You only have to take a look at this forum to know that Truth. How many Sinhalese in power have recognized me in this forum. Unarvukal.com on the other hand has valued and recognized me at the highest possible level - because they 'feel' that my work is their work. That is the power of feeling that we belong to one community. Majority Sinhalese do not feel this about Tamils and v.v
The Objective system is not practiced in preference to the Subjective system - even in Western countries. It requires sacrifice of earned benefits from our biological groups so we would connect intellectually to wider society. Neither Sinhalese nor Tamils are able to do this. Relatively speaking Tamils are better at it than Sinhalese.
You do not 'see'the problems that I see because you are looking for 'quick; and pleasant band-aid answers. I am working to educate seekers to 'find' the opportunities that already exist.

Mahabala has many great ideas even though I might not agree fully to some. A weekly speech from the president or from a senior minister, regarding the long term, short term goals, work that has been completed, status of the projects, issues to be addressed by the public etc etc will be good for the whole nation. It can carve a path, making a direction for the whole country while giving out good information and goodwill for the government as well. We can take good examples from the countries that are already far ahead of us by looking at the way they developed. At the same time it can help educate people, increase transparency and gain trust of people. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, THIS SPEECH SHOULD BE POLITICALLY UNBIASED AND SHOULD NOT BE USED TO GAIN POLITICAL ADVANTAGE. This can help to build a trend where all parties work together and talk together about the issues at hand that the country as a whole is facing, rather than personal and political agendas.
PS: I'm glad to join this forum after being a spectator for a long time. I am a Buddhist who believes in non-violence but self defense, democracy and all the liberties for all regardless of color, race, creed or any other division we humans tend to come up with. Only our actions and thoughts differentiate us from one another. Our prosperity, whether worldly or otherwise, lies on our respect to all life! |
