oh many canadians here so if they have not responded let me try.
1.5 hrs west of Toronto is Niagara falls.

you take take the maid of the mist which will take you closer to the horseshoe falls (the falls is in the shape of a horse shoe!). rain coats will be provided but you'll get soaked!
you can tour the tunnels dug under the falls and get closer and see the ferocity of the falls. A MUST!
try and spend a day or so.
a drive along the falls is very scenic and also a MUST.
In Toronto

you can go up the CN tower. the highest free standing strcuture in the world. On a clear day you can miles. the elevators have glass on the side and are on the side of the building. thrilling ride.
when youre at the TOP, there is a revolving restaurant.
a floor below the FLOOR is made of GLASS and if you have the guts you can STAND on it. of course it say it can withstand 14 hippos so not to worry.
Try and catch a game of Baseball at the SKYDOME. 2/3 of the roof opens up and slides under. its takes about 15 mins for this. The game itself is good.
Centre island

if youire coming with kids this would be good. take a boat ride and head to centre island. a fun place for all ages. the boat ride is about 30 odd minutes or less.
If i think of anything i'll post again.
cant drink and WALK here. infact BOOZING is public is not allowed.
and last but not least
there are 1/4 million or more TC's walking around! all friendly ones by the way.

what youve said is true. any lankan coming into town should be able to find these. you'll probably find lankan stuff NOT EVEN HEARD in LANKA!
