From where you stand that is true. Where I stand it is
99.99% of singhalese are not honest. They just keep saying peace, negotiation and when it comes to vote or reach for it then they practice war. What ever they want over the body of others, mostly tamils in North & East.
While we both stand in our own corner and never reach to each other. Both of our opinion is right for ourselves not for each other. Unless we reach towards each other we will never have the SAME opinion but just TWO opinions on which we dont agree.
None of us listen to each other thats why we have WAR. If we do then we will have PEACE. Which is why PEACE is never a reality in SL for all communities. The days for that has come and gone. |

This is what we have no time to understand.Praba used the basic general ethnic difference to create anger and war between two parties where he can become the lord .Who ever when ever where ever about to achieve peace Praba will spoil it if he still not the lord.Thats why war is going on.He decided to attack SLA and civillians knowingly that they will attack back where he can claim to say all the Sinhalese are attacking Tamils.They are discriminating the minority Tamils.Where he can get the Tamil support for him to achieve his selfish egoistic goals at any cost.So war is going on many people are getting killed.Praba is hiding waiting till power dream becomes true.Wihout war there is no Praba.So he needs the war.Tamils suffer.Tamils are not fighting but Prabha is fighting and Tamils suffer.Tamils and Sinhalese need no war but it is created by maniacs.

It is normal for Sinhalese to point the finger at the LTTE and vice versa--what your missing is the Innocent TAMILS!!
why are we discriminated in Colombo? why should we register again when the GoSL has given us National Identity Cards!!
Who is created what now?

This why you dont get the simple point.These actions are the by products of created war.This is a security issue.This is not discriminating.There is no choice.They have to safegaurd country and people.It is fair to identify the people.Not every Tamil is a terrorist.LTTE needs issues to create war.Then only they can be leaders.Ethnic differences are common all over the world.It is a sensitive issue that power hungry culprits can ignite a war between two parties.This is what is happening in Srilanka.LTTE wants Sinhalese to attack Tamils.Thats what they need.Thats what they try all this time.But it doesnt happen that easy.Thats the failure in LTTE.So they go on trying.But the truth will prevailed and the culprits will be wiped out very soon.It is better to love Sinhalese than hating them.Just because of their genuine patience only all ethnic groups living in peace and harmony in the South.Trying to create hatred and anger among innocents makes no sense.LTTErs and their supporters should giveup their mean tactics to create war and should help to ease the grievance of all the Tamils.Better to face the reality than been brain washed and blind.

Let me say this again. From your point-of-view LTTE started the war. OK I understand from your point-of-view. My view is having suffered in 1977, 1983 and my dad in 1957 riots there was no LTTE then. So for me the war started in 1957 against tamils.
I honestly dont care who started. All i want to know is how WE WILL END it peacefully. The answer is we never will. Because the singhalese will be in their corner saying they are right and the tamils will stay in their corner and say they are right.
So dont blame Praba, mahindha, banda, SJV etc etc. The fact is you and I are to be blamed for this conflict. So is every tamil and singhalese. Our leaders whoever they are were created by us!!. So you and I are to be blamed. |

Dear aj07,
We have come around a full circle having started this circus even before 1957, perhaps even in the ealy 30's.
Now its a question of accpeting responsibilities and having to realize that unless both parties giving up their stated positions and move towards a compromise we are doomed for ever.
I have given up posting on these issues as I see a lot of never ending self denials and finger pointing at each other. As you rightly said every single Sri Lankan has to take responsibilty for today's mess. However the reality is that we are very good at pointing fingers and not doing anything about it.
I see that we are reaching a point of no return and the vocal minority extremists on both side are seemingly winning the WAR.
Some don't seem to realize that and cheering for a lost paradise.
