AnuD,
Yes, most of poeple are usually get used to admire something imported, very typical among developing countries. (India and Pa. are excluded.)
If we even tell a leader that we could manufacture something like that, they dont take it seriously. their brains are mostly designed to purchase, not to build ourself.
MR want to do something development work for the counry, but you know single man has limitations.
JVP do somewhat understand him, but they are also politicians and just think like typical citizans for some cases, unlike engineers to help Rajapakse. |

I admire your comment. |

This plan to assemble Indian cars in SriLanka, I am sure Indians will agree to that easily.
But, SL should assemble the micro car also as a different model of the same company or a different subsidiary.
The developers of the Micro car develop it further as an environmentally friendly model.
Most importanly, what srilanka need is a centralized transport system in which the Railway is the hub of the transport system and buses are the feeding and distributing lines. In that case, SL should manufacture their own railway coaches and buses. |

AnuD,
Dont you think we should wipe out all the 3 wheelers from the country and should replace with them less expensive mini-4 wheel cars.
I really hate 3 wheelers. |

Lankatileke:
I think, India is developing as regional bully.
Sri Lankan politicians have to be crafty. That will be a political issue.
I think market prices will decide it. I know they are really a nuisance, no roads for them, any where.

Won't boastly cut and past from LANKATRUTH.com, if she wanted to boast about LTTE killing of a journalist who talked about LTTE. Edited By - AnuD - 2 Jul 2006 16:40:48 GMT |

Sri Lanka only has pariyeshana ekakaya (testing centres) to research about oil.
To my knoledge, testing centres cannot do any considerable thing.
Sri Lanka should have research centres (Adyayana ayathana) to have any good results. Edited By - LankaTileke - 2 Jul 2006 16:47:27 GMT |

Fishermen flee endangered islands
By Hiran Priyankara in Kalpitiya
Over the past two days fishermen with their families and belongings have been arriving at the Kalpitiya jetty from the islands of Palliyawatta and Battalangunduwa after Tamil Tigers clashed with the Navy on Wednesday leaving five sailors dead.
The fishermen on the two islands fear they could be under threat prompting them to leave the islands and come to Kalpitiya with the intention of going back to their original homes mainly in and around the Negombo area.
Sabeetha
Some fishermen who witnessed the attack on the sailors decided to leave the islands with their families prompting an exodus of civilians. A similar exodus was witnessed from Trincomalee, and Mannar and thereafter from villages on the border of the North Central Province with the Northern Province, after the attack near Kebitigollewa. |

LankaTileke / AnuD:
If we have pressure punchers and steel squishing machines ( I really dont know the exact name ) with good technology, it should not be difficult.
above your machine called Hydraulic Press.
Just Hydraulic press alone can't make bullets, you will need Hydraulic, Electronic & Pneumatic Technicians & Explosive experts.
Explosive Technicians = you can even hire them from WanathaMulla / ObesekaraPura.
Hydraulic Eng. and Techies = Katubadda Univ. /Ger..Tech Rathmalana.
Electronic = just call me or visit Radio Lab in Colombo-13.
If GOSL want to finish it, yes they can, but We are the one must work hard and get the job done.
(guys like Ranil) doing bs, just playing for money not going to solve any thing other than bringing the country to rock bottom.
ohh..you will also need Die and Tools makers Eng./Tech you can copy the autocad or get it from china, using CNC machine you can make the brass/copper case.
machines that I describe to press and seal the items.
I can't explain everything in a single post like this.
but I know how to do it, been there done that.
also.........you may contact one person making auto-s.parts in Sri Lanka Exc..Eng (I can't post his name here - security reson).
if you guys are serious - I am in to it. Edited By - Saman34 - 2 Jul 2006 18:29:31 GMT |
